I am posting this on behalf of my friend, Brian Rainwater, who is a active member of VBF Las Vegas. He has a personal relationship with God and the following letter is his observation. ---Mark Gabriel
A lifetime however long or short, can and does have a far reaching and direct impact on everyone around us. Without realizing, every little act of kindness and personal attention helps to give that person or persons, hope, a realization of the fact that people are not selfish, destructive creatures, we could all potentially become.
Very often I think believers or otherwise people ask themselves, "what impact do I have on others."
The people you interact with in a positive light, magnifies God, or at least reflects that the spirit is still at work in the here and now.
Interact with someone in a negative form even in an offhanded way, gives the enemy his power to bring pain and despair to the lost and unsaved, choose this day whom you will serve indeed.
It is written, "lean not on your own understanding" leave your own ambitions or desires behind. We are essentially just gardeners. When was the last time you heard of a famous gardener, (Johnny Appleseed?)
I know man was removed from the Garden Of Eden, but I wonder why we don't realize that as believers, the seeds of faith, and grace are to be given to everyone now. Everyone you will come to meet are a small section of that soil we lost so long ago weeds thorns rocks and all..
Even if you can only plant one seed, what if that one seed of truth was then to plant a hundred seeds of truth and so on it goes.
Each individual can choose to wade into stream of living waters, or drown in the sea of sin. It's up to you to decide who it is that you serve. --Brian Rainwater
