Why was Mary a virgin?
Eve was of course deceived by the serpent. No thats false scripture, but it is my belieth that Adam did sin first.
2:16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. 2:21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; I believe that the order of the verses means that Eve wasn't around when we God forbid the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
3:2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: 3:3 But of the fruit of the tree which [is] in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. (In this case "die" means seperation from God.) Why did Eve think God said she couldn't touch it? So Adam lied. So, we all know how babies are made. A see enters the women, the see of sin.
Mary was a virgin and never had that seed, therefore Christ was holy. God has a reson for everything he does. This is just another example. |
