It seems as soon as we are determined we are his there's so much noise tearing at our identity.  I guess Jesus went through that to when he was hanging on the cross they were saying if you are really the son of God come down from there.  But he couldn't come down from there 'cause he loved the ones who were jeering at him.

It is a true heart cry for a true God.

Hurry, oh hurry make haste my beloved
Like a hind or a young stag
On a mountain of spice...

Song of Solomon...longing for her beloved...as she waits, watching, desiring, knowing He is coming...

Your writing is pure gold...

I feel you pain.  We all at times struggle with our spirituality and the temptations of this world.  Keep the faith, Keep praying and Keep reading your Bible.  Jesus never leaves us, He promised us that in His precious Word.  This life is like a vapor but we have the promise of eternity with our Heavenly Father to look forward to.  God Bless You and I will pray for you.

The first thing that came to my mind was Hannah weeping and praying in the temple.  Her greatest desire was for God to "birth" something in her -- for Hannah, it was a physical child that she desired -- but receiving that child would not only give her a sweet little someone to hold and love, the child would remove the shame attached to infertility.   Sometimes, when the people of your past see you beginning to "show", they get very unsettled.  They do NOT want you to produce Godly fruit -- because it will convict them of their own spiritual infertility.

I'm so glad you keep writing and reminding us to get to the root of whatever it is that is assailing us -- to fight with intensity for intimacy with God!

You do put meaningful blogs! I agree with Grammy B (and you got many great comments) when she said, "I'm so glad you keep writing and reminding us to get to the root of whatever it is that is assailing us -- to fight with intensity for intimacy with God! ". That was a great way to put it!!!
