OK lets see a show of hands how many of you knew that the space program needed God's Word to plan out were to put a satellite into space? How many of you head for year about scientists proving that God don't exist? Or went we went to school they taught that all was made by the Big Bang Theory? 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 1:2 And the earth was waste and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep: and the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. 1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. 1:4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. 1:5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day. 1:6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. 1:7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. 1:8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And there was evening and there was morning, a second day. 1:9 And God said, Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so. 1:10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.
1:11 And God said, Let the earth put forth grass, herbs yielding seed, `and' fruit-trees bearing fruit after their kind, wherein is the seed thereof, upon the earth: and it was so. 1:12 And the earth brought forth grass, herbs yielding seed after their kind, and trees bearing fruit, wherein is the seed thereof, after their kind: and God saw that it was good. 1:13 And there was evening and there was morning, a third day. 1:14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days and years: 1:15 and let them be for lights in the firmament of heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. 1:16 And God made the two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: `he made' the stars also. 1:17 And God set them in the firmament of heaven to give light upon the earth, 1:18 and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. 1:19 And there was evening and there was morning, a fourth day. 1:20 And God said, Let the waters swarm with swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven. Then how about school teaching The theory of Evolution as a fact?
Well a few years ago NASA need to know how to get a 24 hour day. You see they were checking the position of the sun,moon and planets.In space where they would be 100 years and 1,000 years from now. They have to know this so we won't send a satellite, up and have it bump into something later on in its orbits.They have to lay out the orbits in terms of the life of the satellite,and where the planets will be so the whole thing will not bog down.
They ran the computer measurement back and forth over the centuries and it came to a halt. The computer stopped and put up a red signal,which meant that there was something wrong either with the information fed into it or with the results as compared to the standards.They called in the service department to check it out and they said,"What's wrong?" Well they found there is a day missing in space in elapsed time.They scratched their heads and tore their hair.There was no answer. Finally,a Christian man on the team said,"You know,one time I was in Sunday School and they talked about the sun standing still." While they didn't believe him, they didn't have an answer either. so they said, "Show us." So he got out his Bible and turn to Joshua. Isn't it funny that we run away from God until we have no-were to go then we walk back to our Lord for help! To find out about Time and Space they had to go to the Creator of time and space the one they didn't believe in. So he read . 10:12Then spake Joshua to Jehovah in the day when Jehovah delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel; and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; And thou, Moon, in the valley of Aijalon. 10:13And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, Until the nation had avenged themselves of their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jashar? And the sun stayed in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.
So they put that in the computers going back into the time it was written and found it was close but not close enough.The elapsed time that was missing back in Joshua's day was 23 hours and 20 minutes-not a whole day. They read the Bible and there it was "about (approximately) a day." These little words in the Bible are important, but they were still in trouble because if you cannot account for 40 minutes you'll still be in trouble 1,000 years from now. 40 minutes had to be found because it can be multiplied many times over in orbits. The Christian thought about it,he remembered somewhere in the Bible where it said the sun went backwards.
The scientists told him he was out of his mind.How soon do we forget?But they got out the Bible and read these words in 20:9 And Isaiah said, This shall be the sign unto thee from Jehovah, that Jehovah will do the thing that he hath spoken: shall the shadow go forward ten steps, or go back ten steps? 20:10 And Hezekiah answered, It is a light thing for the shadow to decline ten steps: nay, but let the shadow return backward ten steps. 20:11And Isaiah the prophet cried unto Jehovah; and he brought the shadow ten steps backward, by which it had gone down on the dial of Ahaz.
Now on the Egyptian sun dial one step is 1 degree and The Lord went back 10 degrees.And 10 degrees is exactly 40 minutes! 23 hours and 20 minutes in Joshua, plus 40 minutes in 2 Kings made the missing day in the universe! Isn't it amazing that for us to know the universe we have to go to the CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE? What do you think? No-one can do it better then God. |

Hi Doyle, I really don't want to play devil's advocate (quite literally!) But I'm afraid this is a very old urban legend. There are sites all over the place confirming that, including NASA's, but the Christian Answers site (which I felt was more relevant) has also confirmed this one: http://www.christiananswers.net/q-aig/aig-a001.html I don't want to be negative, but as I know non-christians will check up on this stuff, I feel we should too...keep up the good work and all the best God Bless Nick |

| Thanks Doyle I remember back with the manned mooned flights athiests were getting upset cause astronaughts were reading scripture over the air. We should have stood up for ourselves then. |
