How often do non-Christian friends ask you to discuss your beliefs? How often does someone say to you, “My problem with the Christian church is … ”? A new movie just might spark those conversations. But some Christians will never see it.

I realize there are situations within the "church"  that need to be addressed in order to move forward with our great commission but,  I just can't support a film that is so degrading to my beliefs.  One of my friends from India on mychurch wrote a blog regarding the horrible persecution that is going on in India.  I haven't been able to get this off my mind.  I checked it out hoping that it wasn't true or at least not as bad as it sounded.  It was true.    I say this to say if as Christians we do not make a stand for our beliefs we could be next.  I'm not trying to be criticial but we know that the media is used to paint a false image of Christianity.  Movies such as The Golden Compass are vehicles used to try and sway our children.  As Christians we have the awesome responsiblity to bring our children up in the Word of God with faith and conviction.  If we allow ourselves to give in to the tricks of Satan we will be the stumbling blocks to the lost.  We are to hate the sin and love the sinner and I believe this with all my heart.  Jesus was love but He never gave into the temptations of satan and neither should we.  Sorry for rambling.
