| One song writer penned these words: How can I say, "Thanks" for the things you have done for me? Things so undeserved that you gave to prove your love for me. The voices of a million angels could not express my gratitude. All that I am or ever hope to be, I owe it all to you.
This song expresses just a little of how I feel about my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I hope you readers don't mind while I just keep this a little personal.
Lord, you have been so good to me and I just want to tell you thanks one more time. I know that I will never be able to repay you for all you have done for me and thank you seems so inadequate at times but it is the best that I have so please accept my thank you. Lord, it's already been 3 months since I quit working that second job and things haven't been "peaches and cream" as we used to say, yet you have never let us down. Thanks for still providing the food for us to eat, gas to keep my car going to and fro, here, there and everywhere, all our utilities on and most of all peace of mind. Thank you Father for blessing us to purchase our home and then blessing us to still be in it today. I will never take for granted these blessings. Thank you for a great ministry to help us grow spiritually and 2 really dynamic teachers/preachers to help us learn more about you. Wow! God! I could go on forever just thanking you. You've really been good to us. Thank you for the use and activity of our limbs, and our health too. Thank you for your son, Jesus dying for our sins, thank you for sending us our Comforter, the Holy Spirit to guide us in all we do.
A thousand tongues and I still could not say, "Thank you" enough. Thank you Father, for everything.
Brothers and Sisters, take a moment every day to find something to be thankful for. Always remember I Thessalonians 5:16-18 - "Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." Find reasons to be happy and to rejoice. Pray when you are having trouble rejoicing. Always know that God does not expect us to be thankful FOR everything (some things are bad); but God does expect us to be thankful IN everything. It's up to us to put the altitude in our own attitude. Believe me, people will notice and some will even follow in your footsteps.
Stay blessed, stay encouraged.
