Who preached about hell in the New Testament?
Jesus did.
13:3 I tell you, No; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish. John the Baptist did. 3:7But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sad'ducees coming for baptism, he said to them, "You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
Paul did. 24:25 And while he was talking about righteousness and self-control and the judging which was to come, Felix had great fear and said, Go away for the present, and when the right time comes I will send for you.
How about you? Does anyone have great fear when you are done preaching to them? The Bible tells us about the final destiny of the sinner who does not become a saint. 14:10 he also shall drink the wine of God's wrath, poured unmixed into the cup of his anger, and he shall be tormented with fire and sulphur in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. 14:11 And the smoke of their torment goes up for ever and ever; and they have no rest, day or night, these worshipers of the beast and its image, and whoever receives the mark of its name."
The word tormented in the greek is basanismos. It means pain, toil, torment, toss, vex, and torture. We must work with the Holy Spirit as he uses us to convict the world of guilt in regard to sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8) in hopes that they will turn from sin and place their trust in Christ.
