Some interesting facts about Israel
Facts about the 100th smallest country, with less than 1/1000th of the world's population.
Israel is the only liberal democracy in the Middle East.
Twenty-four percent of Israel's workforce holds university degrees -- ranking third in the industrialized world, after the United States and Holland -- and 12 percent hold advanced degrees.
Israel has the highest ratio of university degrees to the population in the world.
Israel is the only country in the world that entered the 21st century with a net gain in its number of trees, made more remarkable because this was achieved in an area considered mainly desert.
Israel has more museums per capita than any other country.
Israel leads the world in the number of scientists and technicians in the workforce, with 145 per 10,000, as opposed to 85 in the U.S., over 70 in Japan, and less than 60 in Germany. With over 25% of its work force employed in technical professions. Israel places first in this category as well.
The cell phone was developed in Israel by Motorola-Israel. Motorola built its largest development center worldwide in Israel.
There are a lot more interesting facts about Israel but I thought this would be a start.
I know all countries have interesting information about them but I think, considering the size of Israel, it is especially interesting.

| Restore, Thank you for your comment and I agree with you. Blogs can help us share information and even though we may know some of the things we read, it is an opportunity to maybe learn more. Also, there may be people that have not run across that information, just yet! Thanks for your comment and star. I appreciate it! |

| Yes, World Love, ISRAEL FOREVER, and WE are grafted in! Thank you for your comment! I do love the study of the Savior and of the country HE was born, died, and resurrected! Thanks! Even though my blog was on current Israel. It's interesting how much they continue to contribute, even today. |

Thanks, MaKelly. A lot of people think Israel, as it is today is of no concern to Yahweh. I don't think He would have GIVEN HIS PEOPLE the promise of THE LAND if it was not meant to apply, yesterday, today, and forever. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I just believe ISRAEL, the spiritual Israel (which crosses land lines into other places) as well as the LAND, the orginal land HE promised to them, is mighty special to HIM, forever. If there isn't something to it, why are others CONSTANTLY fighting them over it (such a small, little country) and have such a hatred of the people there.?.?. Another thing, it's still mighty special to the SAVIOR, even in Revelation!

I Just Love Israel! We went with Perry Stone in 2006 and want to go again. Reading the Bible is so much better after having been to where it was written. Thank you for this post Love & Shalom Patty Larsen |

Thanks, Patty. I appreciate your star and comment. I love hearing Perry Stone teach. I know a trip to Israel with his group was bound to be wonderful. I've never gotten to go there but I would LOVE to visit there. You were lucky to have a great teacher, such as Perry Stone, there with you, to share some of the things he's learned. I know just reading and researching the land of the Savior's birth, the people, and customs-- has helped me a lot. Being there would be amazing! Thanks for your comment. |
