Have you ever messed someone's whole day up?
I work in the automotive industry. I have an sales and marketing company that sells advertising products to automotive dealers all around the country. If you have ever had a real fun experience buying a car(tongue in cheek), you know what a dark place that needs some light,eh! We conduct all of our business via the tele so the first contact at most dealerships is with the receptionists.
One day I got a woman on the phone and engaged her in a brief but potent spiritual conversation. I began to ask he if she knew she was going to heaven or not when she died. She replied, "Of course!" I asked her why she felt so confident and her pompous reply went something like this. "Well, I just think that I've been a good person who has done a lot of good and I think we all will go to a better place." I could see we had some work to do so I proceeded to ask her if she had heard of the 10 Commandments and she said," Yes." I asked her if she had kept them all all the time and she squirmishly said, "Uh, uh, I don't know.Probably most of them." So we went through a few. Have you ever told a lie, half truth, or been deceptive? She said boldly, "Yeh!" Have you ever stolen something even if was small and regardless of how long ago it was? She said, "Probably." Jesus said if we look with lust we have already committed adultery! Have you ever looked at someone with lust in your heart? And she began to get a little agitated but replied, "Who hasn't?" I said to her. So by your own admission, you are a lying, thieving adulteress and that is only a few of the commandments and you have to stand before God on Judgement Day! Do you think you would be innocent or guilty?
By now she was starting to get raging mad! "Where are you going with this?", she said! I continued to sow into her heart hoping to reap humility as I asked if she felt as a lying, thieving, adulteress she thought she would go to heaven or hell? She didn't want to admit that she was headed the wrong way and was in need of a U-turn. I shared that hell was a place forever, a place of utter darkness where the fire never goes out! "You don't want to go to hell do you?", I asked. She said, "I have had enough, I am hanging up on you right now!" Click!
Just a little later in the day she called me back. (I guess I had left my number for the car dealer or she got it off caller ID) I was not able to field the call so it went to my voicemail which has a gospel message on it and she left this message in almost tears. "I just want to let you know that what you said has made me feel terrible. You have totally messed up my whole day! I hope you feel better about yourself!", she said trying to return the favor of making me feel bad.
Obviously, this lady needed a wake up call and I hope that maybe my sowing will allow someone to reap in the days ahead. My question to you is have you ever messed up someone's whole day in hopes that they will wake up, humble themselves and run to and obey the Savior, Jesus Christ?
The apostle Paul messed up Felix's whole day as Felix was terrified and shewed Paul off saying something like,"Get out of here. I don't want to hear this anymore!" Some people need a wake up call and need their hamster wheel of life shaken in hopes that they will come to their senses, see their need for a savior before running into a fire and brimstone eternity in hell. You can now see why we need to be filled with Holy Spirit. Boldness is needed from heaven to be an effective witness!(Acts 1:8)
24:25 And as he reasoned of righteousness, and self-control, and the judgment to come, Felix was terrified, and answered, Go thy way for this time; and when I have a convenient season, I will call thee unto me. The apostle Paul messed up Felix's whole day! Have you ever messed up someone's day or is your message so watered down that you would never get a response like this? Let's get back to the gospel message of Jesus, Peter, and Paul and we will get the same results they did!
You can go to www.citytaker.com and get equipped to share the same gospel message the Apostle Paul shared! |

| "Boldness is needed from heaven to be an effective witness!(Acts 1:8)' Now that's what I need to be praying for. |

This is very good. My question to you is Have you ever messed up someone's whole day in hopes that they will wake up, humble themselves and run to and obey the Savior, Jesus Christ? I think we haven't been giving the gospel the way it should be given, and yes, we need to present the holiness of God's law and make people realise that we can never keep that law by ourselves and we need the mercy and grace of God. Without a realisation of God's holiness we cannot understand the value of God's grace. |

| Jeff...as always good blog. I believe that everything must go back to Christ. That is where Christians have gotten off course. Thanks for being obedient. ~ Jeremy |

Dude,
That's awful! Awful funny, that is. You messed up that lying, thieving, fornicator's day but at the end of the day, she's still lost. You need to go back to salesman school and learn how to close.
That's hilarious!
