Well I may have been semi normal for those days, I rebelled against Dad as often as I could, grew my hair as long as I could, until dad's face turned the appropriate shade of red then I'd let him cut it, or head off to the barbershop.
Yes in those days barbers and dentists were different people. Dad was very often on the road. and I was pretty good at manipulating Mom. I was a Sophomore in High when we moved to Terre Haute. by then I had only lived in Ft Wayne, Winchester, and Lafayette, IN., and Montrose , and Medina, and Wadsworth, Oh. That I can remember, I had also lived in a few other states. I can't really remember and if I'm boring myself I'm sure I'm boring you...
The point is I moved a lot as a kid. The last part of my sophomore year to the end of My Junior year I lived in North Terre Haute, IN. Sheesh....
Long story short half way through My junior year in High Mom ans Dad divorced well I should separated and I got to meet the new girlfriend that Dad just happened to meet. I was given a choice of where to stay. I chose to stay with Mom. She was easy to manipulate, and I felt like mom had been betrayed enough.
So at the end of My Junior Year in High it was off to Wadsworth Oh. Where My folks started off at. Where I would hone my skills of feeling guilty, and manipulating. Did I ever mention that I'm a recovering Momma's Boy??? |
