Hebrew CHET for 2008 CHET = 8 THUS the Hebrew 8 in 2008
This is the year 2008. The Hebrew letter for 8 is the letter CHET. CHET has the numerical value 8. CHET is the picture of a fence.
The pictograph of a fence symbolizes (1) to separate or cut off from and (2) to protect. Think of this as a fence of favor. Favor with God and men.
Since the numerical value of the letter CHET is 8 and since the number 8 is the biblical number for new beginnings, think of 2008 as a year of new beginnings for YOU.
CHET as a letter also symbolizes LIFE. When a Jewish person see the letter CHET the first thing that comes to their mind is usually life. In the Torah, life is connected with blood. The CHET shape was the way the Hebrews applied the blood of the lambs to the doors in Exodus. Just an interesting fact.
Yeshua/Jesus, the Messiah, said He was the Way, the Truth, and the LIFE--He did shed HIS blood for me and you. All people, Jews and non-Jews, enter into abundant life by applying the blood of HIS sacrifice to their hearts by faith.
May the Father give you life in abundance in the Messiah! |

| Deb, It IS interesting, isn't it! Since Christian roots begin with the Saviour, who spoke Hebrew/ARAMAIC languages, it means something to me to see what that language says about even simple things--like the letter CHET, in the Hebrew alphabet. |

| When I was a member of a Messianic Congregation... in the 1980's Father opened up the Old Covenant to me... and revealed to me it's fulfillment in the New Covenant through the life of Christ. I am so blessed to have received such experiences... and encourage anyone who has not had the Bible opened to them in such a way... to ask Father for such a gift... and that they take the time to study it in this light, as He does. These type of teachings... (above) can be very insightful... they can help one to glean hidden truths they would not have known of otherwise... and bring their faith to a whole new level in Christ... so much in the New Covenant will make sense.... having had such an experience! Thanks for posting this sis... here's another star for you! |

| Thank you MaKelly, for your comment! It can be "different", learning some of the Hebrew words, but it's just so worth it to me. I'm certainly not an expert but each thing I do learn about the Saviour's native language opens up understanding of the Bible and Bible times so much. And, even in the letter CHET, we can apply it to today! Thanks! |
