Sounds like the "Conversations with God" (Neale Donald Walsch) new age stuff. I have a relative that has fallen into this lie.
Basic beliefs:
1.There is no hell, no satan.
2.God does not want to be worshipped and praised (paraphrased from the book 'God: I am not so egotistical that I need to be worshipped.')
3. This is an "anything goes" lie straight from Hell.
4. If it makes you happy, then it is right for you.
5. There are many paths(like oprah said on the clip).
6. Sex before marriage - even at age 10-12 is ok.***this is in the teen book.
7. Adultery - (again paraphrased) 'Wouldn't it be selfish of you (the spouse) to demand or expect that your mate should live their whole life and love only you?'....angers me to even remember reading that part.
8. Truth is subjective to the beliefs of the holder of that truth...blahblahblah

I pray for this family member and know that this is a very serious spiritual battle to engage in, but we serve a Mighty God!
FYI Here goes my belief on the rise in popularity on this junk:
Those that were once hurt by religion (not God, but RELIGION) and those who refuse to repent and truly "turn away from" things the Lord detests, find acceptance from a "god" who is a-ok with it all. My relative's comment to me when I originally questioned her about it was something like this:

All my teen then adult life I lived with a strange kind of guilt (conviction) about some of the things I did that made me happy. (sinful, immoral, sinful pleasures...not JOY) When someone gave me this book, I found all the answers (lies) I had always searched for. It was exactly what I needed to hear.(to continue to live how ever I wanted to)
I have studied the books and some of the followers (Ellen Degeneris for one). This book is often mistaken for a Christian book because of the title. Note, in most public libraries it is in the oocult section as it is at Books a Million. However, in the youth section of Books a Million, it is in the Chrisitan section. Here are some direct quotes (just found them) from the book....no more paraphrasing them! Be cautious not to let these idealologies enter your heart, but to be used in prayers against this growing lie from the enemy. love to all. here are the quotes:
Book 1:
"A thing is only right or wrong because you say it is. A thing is not right or wrong intrinsically." - Page 48
"Beingness is the highest state of existence." - Page 101 (FYI my relative's life's motto is "Just be"

Right and Wrong are Relative Terms

There’s nothing “wrong” with anything. “Wrong” is a relative term, indicating the opposite of that which you call “right.”...This is why, by the way, human religions are so popular. It almost doesn’t matter what the belief system is, as long as it’s firm, consistent, clear in its expectation of the follower, and rigid. Given those characteristics, you can find people who will believe in almost anything. The strangest behavior and belief can be—has been—attributed to God. It’s God’s way, they say. God’s word.
And there are those who will accept that. Gladly. Because, you see, it eliminates the need to think.
Book 2:
(this one is almost funny...say it 5 times really fast)"God is everywhere. Therefore, God is nowhere in particular, because to be somewhere in particular, God would have to not be somewhere else--which is not possible for God" - Page 33
Book 3:
"The more pleasure you give yourself, the more pleasure you can give to another" - Page 79
"People will always believe in hell, and in a God who would send them there, as long as they believe that God is like man—ruthless, self-serving, unforgiving, and vengeful" - Page 127

Sorry this reply was so long. My heart truly is to minister in love to those trapped by this lie and to battle through prayer for the demonic influence to be broken in their lives. My anger is very much directed at the enemy, not those trapped. Satan is such a punk!
Love to all, Please join me in prayer.

Angie, you're no hog on this blog. Thanks for the extra information. I had to say something just because it seems so many Christians are into Op.Your message was from the heart, because you have family sucked into this. I will pray. And I agree, religion or some bad church experiences chase people off.

Also, thanks for the intro to the site the video was on...hadn't seen that one yet. I have a friend that the Lord is leading to be "the watchman on the tower". I am going to share with her. Also, thanks for the prayers.

Wow, time flies. I wrote this almost a year ago, but it appears O' is still pushing the Secret.

2:7 but we speak God's wisdom in a mystery, `even' the `wisdom' that hath been hidden, which God foreordained before the worlds unto our glory: 2:8 which none of the rulers of this world hath known: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory: 2:9 but as it is written, Things which eye saw not, and ear heard not, And `which' entered not into the heart of man, Whatsoever things God prepared for them that love him. 2:10 But unto us God revealed `them' through the Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 2:11 For who among men knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of the man, which is in him? even so the things of God none knoweth, save the Spirit of God. 2:12 But we received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is from God; that we might know the things that were freely given to us of God. 2:13 Which things also we speak, not in words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Spirit teacheth; combining spiritual things with spiritual `words'. 2:14 Now the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him; and he cannot know them, because they are spiritually judged.

I still choose the Word of God over the wisdom (foolishness) of men.

I saw this and am not a O fan.  Unfortunately, she is not a Christian.
