| Well, just some light-hearted fun. I live in Louisiana, so naturally, I am for LSU!! GEAUX is " FRENCH for Go" . So GEAUX LSU Tigers! Louisiana State University plays Ohio State. The winner of Monday night's BCS national championship game between Ohio State and LSU will be able to challenge Southern California for the title of best college football program in the country right now. Thanks for your comment, MaKelly! |

YEAH, BRENDA!
GEAUX TIGERS!!!!
! LSU 38, Ohio State 24, Final score, in an action packed game!
The New Orleans Superdome has provided the setting for its share of history, from Michael Jordan's 1982 NCAA championship-winning jumper to Muhammad Ali's third heavyweight title to President George H.W. Bush's "Thousand Points of Light" speech. Walter Payton, Sugar Ray Leonard, the Rolling Stones and Pope John Paul II played there.
It might be best remembered for its most tragic duty — shielding thousands of refugees from Hurricane Katrina.
Tonight, another landmark event hosted by the iconic building as LSU met Ohio State for college football's Bowl Championship Series national crown.

Brenda, Thank your for your comment and support of the LSU Tigers! Since this was not an ordinary game, I wanted to show support for our state and LSU!
The winner of Monday night's BCS national championship game between Ohio State and LSU will be able to challenge Southern California for the title of best college football program in the country right now. Since LSU did win , they will apparently play Southern California. Whenever that is,
GEAUX LSU TIGERS!!!!!
Thanks for the photo you emailed me with the guys in Iraq with all of the LSU banners and flags, in support of LSU! That was NEAT! A lot of our soldiers were in that photo and looked happy about the game! That made me feel good, just to see it!
GEAUX TIGERS!!!! GEAUX TIGERS!!!! GEAUX LSU TIGERS!!!

Thank you, Dave, for your comment. Since LSU has won the title three times in LSU's history--this being the third time, it was great for them to win and have a little innocent fun on this blog. Yep, next year! (Maybe LSU will do it again!!!) Ha! I would not complain!
Thank you, Restore, for the comment and congratulations! I don't do a sports blog all the time but with this being "special" I enjoyed doing it. Thanks! Their game and win came at a special (sad) time for me. A bit of laughter and nice, fun blog was really NEEDED!
Thanks to LSU Tigers for playing as they did all year! Thanks to all the people for your stars and comments. I appreciate it! GEAUX TIGERS, KEEP ON GOING! |

Brenda,
Yes, it is time for something GOOD to happen in Louisiana. The storms were certainly a tragic event!
As you know, we inaugurated our new governor, Bobby Jindal, Louisiana’s first nonwhite governor since Reconstruction, the nation’s first elected Indian-American governor and the nation’s youngest sitting governor, at 36 years old. Jindal said he will call the Legislature into a special session beginning Feb. 10 to tackle the centerpiece of his campaign: strengthening Louisiana’s ethics laws.
A conservative Republican who has held a series of high-profile positions since heading the massive state health department at age 24, Jindal beat out 11 opponents in October’s election.
For information purposes on this blog, On Sunday, Jindal attended a prayer service where churchmen from around the state read scripture and offered support. Jindal, a Roman Catholic who converted from Hinduism as a teenager.
So, Louisiana, as a whole has been busy, along with the LSU tigers.

Thank you MaKely for your cute comments and smilies! You did know what you were talking about when you said Giants!!!!
Eli Manning is quarterback for New York Giants. After the win yesterday they will play in the Super Bowl! Eli Manning and Peyton Manning, (who won super bowl last year with the Indianapolis Colts--as their quarterback,) are brothers. Their dad is Archie Manning, who was quarterback for Ole Miss and then New Orleans Saints! How about those Mannings!!!! So, YEAH, GEAUX GIANTS!!

Thank you Restore! We are proud of those LSU TIGERS! Thank you for your comment. This blog started out about the TIGERS (LSU met Ohio State for college football's Bowl Championship Series national crown--and won.) Mighty proud of that!
We are also talking about other topics on here, too. Our new Governor, Bobby Jindal was a history making decision.
Also, we are rootin' for the New York Giants. (See above about Eli, Peyton, and Archie Manning)
Thank you for congratulations!! Thank you for your comment!

| Warning for Louisiana residents!
Increased alcohol consumption on Super Bowl Sunday and the weekend leading into Mardi Gras have made the widely-celebrated events dangerous for Louisiana motorists.
The two events will coincide this year in the first weekend of February, presenting drivers and law enforcement with a unique, difficult challenge, according to a news release by the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission.
PLEASE be careful, even if you are NOT drinking! |
