| depression has set in and i know why. ifeel like im slipping. like im losing my footing. temptation has gotten the best of me and i am shameful because of it. how do i make this better? what do i do? for about four months, everything was going great. sure there were a few minor setbacks with work and all. but nothing like this. it feels like im in quicksand. being sucked ion to the devils grasp. few things are going right. ive been full of anger and hatred. familylife hasnt been that great. cassie and i have been fighting. i cant seem to get away from the wrong doings at work. ive been lying to people that i love and care about. things just arent foing great. im scared. i fear that i will lose my grip with The Lord. i havent been putting Him first in my life. ive been putting myself first. jealousy, coveting, greed, you name it. ive spent the last few weeks going through it. but i pray that i can get out of it. i know The Lord. i know what He can do. i have seen his works in my life. but i feel like ive thrown it all away almost. what do i do? i have put things of this earth before God. i have been praying for forgiveness and a cleansed soul. i have asked for a purified heart. i need the Holy Spirit to take control of me again. please pray for me and my family? with much love, jason |

| Thank you for your honesty. I will lift you and your family in prayer. What do I do?, was your question. First let me say we have all been there and what I found was to do the following. PRAY, PRAY, PRAY, READ HIS WORD (your answer is there), ATTEND CHURCH ( you need the support and The Word), ASK FOR PRAYER, REBUKE SATAN AND TURN AWAY FROM THE THINGS THAT ARE CAUSING YOU TO STUMBLE (not always easy, but with Jesus can be done), SEEK COUNCEL. We are all here for you. My heart hurts for you. Love you , God Bless. |

Thank you so much for your honesty and sharing that with us. Believe me though when I say this that you have definetly not lost your grip with the Lord. And believe me even more when I say that you are definetly not the only Christian to experience this. I can tell you that I have my moments too and I know when these moments arise that it is the devil interferring and it is a time when I need to diligently seek our Lord. You have taken one of the most crucial steps to getting back on track and that is confessing your sins to your family in Christ and asking for their prayers. We are all here to help and encourage one another and none of us could make it through these kind of situations without the mercy and love from God and our family in Christ. I have just gone through similar things also. I have gotten so wrapped up in the situations with my son and his disabilities, the school, traveling, Christmas season, and all the different tasks that keep me busy at church and so forth that I neglected my own personal time with the Lord. Boy I could sure tell the impact that made on me! I was starting to become so overwhelmed feeling that I was doing everything for everyone else and nothing for myself. I knew exactly where I was neglecting my own personal relationship with God and I would pray yet not change anything. I was missing training union so I could prepare for my Children's Church classes. I was exhausted by becoming caught up in all the holiday chaos that I have skipped reading my Bible. My boys were in the Christmas program and we were having practices on Thursday's so I was missing out on Bible Study on that day of the week (My favorite class because it is the one time a week that provides me with an atmosphere to learn and discuss the Bible and really learn its meaning with fellow Christians). Well I could go on but I was just bringing all this up to give you an idea. Anyway, I let all that interfere with my own walk with Jesus and the whole time it was basically just some few minor adjustments I needed to make with my planning and time schedules. A week or so ago, I started diligently praying for my walk to get back on track and also putting my heart back into God's Word. Praise His name!!! I am glad He is our anchor! I do not know if you were at church yesterday (if you were not then let me know and I can make you a copy of the sermon when I get it) but Pastor Chuck gave a phenominal sermon on "Drifting." It was definitely an answer to my prayers. Later last night I made the decision to get to church early enough to set up my class so I could be done in time to make it to training union and let me tell you...It was awesome!!! God had more answers to my prayers in there. By the time class time for my Children's church rolled around I felt so full and ready to interact with my class and teaching time because I had gotten my share in other classes earlier. Anyway, I did not mean to go on and on but just wanted to let you know that it happens to all of us. We are not perfect and God clearly tell us in His Word that we as Christians will endure these hard times. Always remember that He is our anchor! We are His children and He promised that He will never leave or forsake us. Also remember to cry out to Him and do not be afraid to speak up and let us, yur church family help pull together also and give you strength! Let me know if you need anything. I will lift you up in my prayers. I also hope this might have helpwed you in some way. I love you always ( during good times and bad!!! :) ) Your Sister in Christ, Tina |

I agree with dennis cheryl and tina there isn't much more to say just. We all get in this place we just have to let the Lord guide us and ask for forgiveness and he will. Read the word and pray. That has always helped me. love ya in Christ diane |

| I'm also in agreement. You are made righteous through Christ, it is already a done deal, now start the above recommendations and walk in victory knowing that you are a child of God. Satan came to condemn, God came to lift you up and free you. Will be praying. |

| Jason,we all are tempted by Satan, and he knows our weakness. But, we are a child of the King. God is always there. All the points above are true. And get more invovled in S.School, and Training Union. I know for a fact, more Bible, praying and getting closer to the Lord, will make a strong Soldier for the Lord. Everyday is a battle, even little things. That's why fellowship with God's people, the Word, prayer, and all study, will make you a strong person. To have these strengths,we may fight the things Satan throws. I will Pray that God may make you strong for all these battles you may fight. Fight On Brother, you have your Brothers and Sisters beside you to help the battles ahead. We pray for one another,God Bless you,and Grow closer in Christ, and we are there for you..Us older Christians have had battles, and some have had these. We love you and your family..Praying.for ya!!! |

Praise God! God answers prayers!!! Still praying also. Also, I do not know what kind of work schedule you have but if you are able too then you might want to look into Bible Study. Don't get me wrong, ALL the classes that we are blessed to have at KBC are rewarding and fabulous!!! I however crave Bible study because though I grew up in church, I was lost for during my entire adulthood up until very recently. Our two greatest gifts of armor are God's Word and Prayer. Bible study helps me to understand some of those sometimes difficult areas in the Bible that are hard to understand. It is also a time that is more relaxed and you have more time for social fellowship and also more time for discussions and support. Though I have not attended in awhile because I had so many other things going on at the end of the year, I am definitely going to get back by the time they start on the new study. Right now the are still trying to finish up on the book of Eziekel. Anyway, for me it is extremely fulfilling. If you have any questions just talk to Jim Betton. He is the one who always stands up in services and announces Bible study. I hope you have a blessed day! |
