This is an opinion that I have for our MyChurch I was just reading a prayer request by one of our fellow sisters. I am sure that there are plenty of people with the same thoughts as me: I will pray for her so why post any response?
I think that posting responses, even little ones like "I pray for you" may make any one person feel 100% better to see responses to their posts when they ask for help or really just need some answers. It gives people a sort of closeness when they need it the most.
Please, Please, Please! If you are going through the blogs, bulletins, and classified ads, please take the time to read the prayer requests because these are important-not only to God, but very important to the person who is asking. If we can do this, then it may give our fellow brothers and sisters in christ a more reaffirmed feeling when they ask for prayer.
Even if you respond to them on their page, it can really lift their spirits. "I mean come on, complete strangers helping complete strangers? That's absurd!" But when you think about that statement, remember that this is exactly what the enemy wants us to think. Let's help to crush his hopes by doing God's work even on MyChurch when a person needs prayer.
Remember, lets lift each other up and work together as a team for God when people need it!
Fine print: These thoughts and opinions are from my own conscience and I have this need to post and spread this message for some reason. I am still working on that since I'm new to this. Please don't feel offended in any way to any of my posts today or in the future, I am only trying to find my place in our kingdom of Heaven starting with the here and now. Thanks! Lisa Van Wie |

That's true. I would add that you don't always have to do a long prayer you can say a small one, but do it right away send an SOS to God if you do nothing else. Then let that person know. It is a little discourageing when posting a prayer request and having 300 views and no responses. I had no Idea that people were answering the call for intercessory prayer for my issues and behind the scenes God was totally working so it's OK that no one responds but if you have time to read it you have time to respond even if it is a simple I will would be great.. |

| I am happy to read this post. If I am reading a blog and am super short on time or don't know what to say I make sure I at least leave a star to let the person know I read the blog and am standing with him/her. I so appreciate the stars I get on my blog. For me I know these people are listening even if they don't have any words to say... |

Hey all, I was telling a friend about why I posted this the other day and she (my friend was raised a Morman) said that leaving prayers on others prayer requests with our faces is considered boasting and you should do as the bible says and "pray in the closet". I don't understand? I thought that praying was ok and praying for somebody was awesome! Maybe in her religion they are extreme in all that they do but I just wanted to share this with you all as well because maybe you can give me a little insight. If you have anything to help me better understand this I would appreciate it! Thanks Lisa |

| Mormonism is an extremely legalistic religion. We on the other hand are free! Free to seek prayers, free to pray, free to ask others to pray, free free free! Thanks for this post! :-) ~mike |
