Dave,

Thank you for your comments and star.  I don't know if he could use a Whompit or not!  :)  There may be a cartoon character named Thor, but this (below) is the one the lawsuit is over and it's not a funny character! :) Whew! This one AIN'T funny at all! :)

Thor is the Norse god of thunder. He is a son of Odin and Jord, and one of the most powerful gods. He is married to Sif, a fertility goddess. His mistress is the giantess Jarnsaxa ("iron cutlass"), and their sons are Magni and Modi and his daughter is Thrud. Thor is helped by Thialfi, his servant and the messenger of the gods.

Thor was usually portrayed as a large, powerful man with a red beard and eyes of lightning. Despite his ferocious appearance, he was very popular as the protector of both gods and humans against the forces of evil. He even surpassed his father Odin in popularity because, contrary to Odin, he did not require human sacrifices. In his temple at Uppsala he was shown standing with Odin at his right side. This temple was replaced by a Christian church in 1080.

The Norse believed that during a thunderstorm, Thor rode through the heavens on his chariot pulled by the goats Tanngrisni ("gap-tooth") and Tanngnost ("tooth grinder"). Lightning flashed whenever he threw his hammer Mjollnir. Thor wears the belt Megingjard which doubles his already considerable strength. His hall is Bilskirnir, which is located in the region Thrudheim ("place of might"). His greatest enemy is Jormungand, the Midgard Serpent. At the day of Ragnarok, Thor will kill this serpent but will die from its poison. His sons will inherit his hammer after his death.

Donar is his Teutonic equivalent, while the Romans see in him their god Jupiter. Thursday is named after him.

I'll think I'll stick with God the father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.  Too many years as a spiritual slut has already caused enough troubles.

Thank you, Deb, for the star!

Thank you, Restore, for the star and great comment.  I also appreciate the graphic of the
Whompit!  I sure did not know what a Whompit was! :)  I'm sure he would like one of those, too.

God Bless you, too!

Good post except I must dispute this point:
I know America has problems, always has and always will--but we're better than any where else on the face of the EARTH that I know of!

As a proud Aussie I invite all Americans to come and visit Australia.

Thank you Dave, I think you made the RIGHT choice!  ME, too!  Yep, those choices did leave to trouble, but at least you are learning more every day!  Praise God for HIS mercy and grace for all of us! Whoo Hoo!!!

I think Aussie country must be a very lovely place. I am glad you love the country in which you live, Australia.    I would love to visit there at some point.  Have you ever been to the United States?  I also love the fact I was born in America and that I still live here!

I feel that almost anywhere on the face is not without at least some problems at any given time, at least there are problems from someone's viewpoint.  America is no exception. I sure wan't complaining about being in America, just making a general statement.
However, talking with people who have traveled worldwide, they all assure me, America is  so blessed and has given so much for so long.  Part of the reason we've been blessed it  the  foundation America was built on-- the principles taught in the Scripture.

Perhaps we can both be proud,  even with the problems, we do have it very good indeed!  Isn't it great, when it's all said and done, GOD IS IN CHARGE!  Boy! That's a comfort!

Thank you for stopping by.   I welcome your comments and I do appreciate your time to read the blog and to leave the comment.  That's what the blogs are about.  Sharing information and viewpoints, as well as encouraging others in fellowshipThanks!

You know I believe in this country very much. I also think Christians are very wimpish in the sense that they do not get out in droves and demand our beliefs be heard loud and clear. Many hide in corners because they are afraid to shame some nut with a hammer that claims he's being left out. Christians leave Christianity in church and bring it back every Sunday. Porn, drugs cussing, and hate are building up on our streets. Many are afraid to go out of their homes. We won't stand up for our rights to bare arms. Execute murderers. But, we are (not all) silent when it comes to the murder of babies. There is plenty wrong in this country. we should look at ourselves. then we might see where the problem is coming from. I'm not pointing fingers. I hope you all know this. But, goodness begins with action. let's get active!! (notice, I did not leave myself out of this guilt) God bless!!
