Journey of Love 1/08/08

1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 1:27 So God created man in his [own] image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. 1:29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which [is] upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which [is] the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. 1:30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein [there is] life, [I have given] every green herb for meat: and it was so. 1:31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, [it was] very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

Genesis 1:26-31 KJV

He took a look at His creation and saw that it was good. If one could look into the eyes of God on this day, they could capture a sense of success and see a smile upon His face. How the heart of God must have been rejoicing at this wonderful creation that He had made. A creation made by Him and for Him. He was in love with this creation.

Oh how He had to be captivated with man. So much that He longed to spend time with him and walk with him in the garden. God loved man so much that He created a perfect world as a gift unto mankind. It was all going well. Romance was in the morning air. A relationship was being built between God and man. And He saw that it was good.

Until one day...temptation came in and man's eyes lost thier focus on God. They now were afraid. For they had disobeyed the direct law of the Father. God's heart had to be broken. For out of Love....He created man to love and so that man could love Him, but now this had happen. The relationship was just getting started too! Now it was all falling apart. So God did what He had to do...He let man go.

"If you love someone then let them go. If they come back to you, then they are yours." This was in a song that I heard tonight. The love of the Father was being tested as He sent angels to keep them away from this beautiful land. He let them go to inhabit this earth to see if they would return. There our romance story begins. In the beginning of romance.

Many people who read this will not see this as a "romantic" tale. However, it is the greatest romance of all. For it tells of the love of a Father for His children. A love so great that in the beginning He gave them the world eventually He would send His Son, but that is later on in the story.

This was the beginning of the story. This is the beginning of the journey towards the heart of God that I mentioned in a previous blog. A journey that will take many days to cover. A journey that will take take a lifetime to discover. A journey that will take an eternity to enjoy.
