God is inside of everything

Isn’t it amazing what kids come up with? Just out of curiousity I asked my boys (ages 5 and 3), “if God is kind of invisible, how do you see him?”

The first answer was what the outlandish thing that I expected, “you need to take off his invisible shield”. But, then, I heard something quite profound.

“God is inside of things” and “God is inside of everything”. Wow.

Perhaps it’s hard to see God if we are looking for one thing and he’s really in everything. In other words, we aren’t seeing God because he is the only thing we are seeing.

How do you see a God that so many unchurched/de-churched people believe is invisible?

Matt, Seems like the Apostle Paul gives a good answer to seeing the invisible God question: For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. If in looking at nature, and studying astronomy we miss the power and divinity of God then unless we are senseless and blind we have no one to blame but ourselves. Then, as you have mentioned in another blog, an invisible God comes into even clearer focus through his choice to reveal himself through Scripture and His own Son--the Words of God. Curt
