| Was she the only witness? |
|
| |
True Story The day had been long and she was weary. Pain shot from her foot up her hip as she tried to make her way to train before it left. Crowds pushed against her and she struggled not to fall. The large cast and cane made it more difficult but she didn't complain. Finally, it was her turn to board. She stared at the 3 steps she had to climb, and suddenly she felt two sets of strong arms lifting her up and then setting gently down. Strangers... their simple act of kindess... She looked up at them with tears in her eyes and smiled. They smiled back at her and went on. It was to be a long ride home. A few minutes later she heard a deep resonating voice reading scripture. She tried to focus on where voice was coming from could not see his face over the heads of the people in back of her. What she did see made her feel ill. These people acted as if the man were out of his mind. Some were actually moving away him!
She felt sorrow for this man she did know. And then he said, "You think I'm out of mind, but I'm not. I've come to tell you about my Lord. Please listen." He continued to read until the train came to his stop, and then he began to sing. Oh, glory how this man could sing. Yes, he was singing for his Lord. His Lord knew he was sane and so did she. She was a witness. Was she the only one? |

This is a great story and a great testimony! I think all of usshould act like we are insane too! Smile! |
|
|
Wonderful to see someone so in love w/the Savior! |
|
|
Amen Amen Amen!!!! I have this thought often, if how we believe/love Him would always be portrayed in how we live....if we didn't take on the political correctness of not speaking about Him or our beliefs.....but looked for every opprotunity to reveal Him to the world!!!! Come Lord Jesus!!!!! They will see Him coming in His people!!!!! |

Maybe we don't have to be as noticeable like the man saying
"You think I'm out of mind, but I'm not. I've come to tell you about my Lord. Please listen."
but if we could just make sure every action, minor or major, shows the glory and love of our Lord. The most subtle of acts can have the biggest impacts. We might not notice it now, or maybe never, but every thing has a equal and opposite reaction. |

| This is a great story Joey. Thanks for sharing. Did you know the woman? |
|
|
| What a wonderful story. I wanted it to tell more!! |
|

Joey, I know this to be a true story because I have witnessed it myself many times. I've seen this happen over and over again on the subways, and in the streets of NYC. Several times I found myself singing with the person, yes out loud, rejoicing about our Lord. Sad to say, too many people are yet ashamed of the Gospel. Whenver the opportunity presents, I will at least give a Amen! to show support.

OUTSTANDING
She really isn't alone, because to day when I wittness about the Lord or Evangelizing for God that's how most of the world looks at us like we are insane but we are not here for popularity just to do the work of our God, and to lead people into the kingdom of God and there will be some who are not receving of His word but we are obedient we planed a seed, We don't lookm and the man or woment who is ministry or sing about our Lord we look at his heart. People perish for lack of knowledge. T These people on the train were in fear because they did not know the GOD we serve, or the God this man or the woman faith in.
DO NOT JUDGE THE MESSENGER JUST LISTEN TO THE MESSAGE
Luke 9 5 And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them. |

| Great story Joey. I want to be like that woman...that is my mission in life...to not be ashamed to tell of Jesus, and sing His praise, even if or when someone thinks I'm nuts. I am nuts, nutty crazy for Jesus. |

Those voices... the ones who ring out bold and loud, with absolutely no fear, are sometimes the most beautiful in the choir.
It depends upon whose eyes you choose to look through, my friend |

God IS there. If we stop and see it in people's faces, we can feel it in their hearts. |

| My questions is still this: Was she the only witness? |
|
|
I don't believe she was the only witness--even though those other people on the train didn't want to hear what the man had to say, they couldn't help but hear what he said. No one will ever know what kind of seed may have been planted in the heart of a stranger that day. God commands us to go out and preach His Good News to others--we never know what we say or what we do may impact someone's life. Because of that, we always have to act like a child of God and show others love rather than ugliness. Just as a kind or loving word can touch someone and may lead them to God, a harsh word or action can do the opposite: turn someone away from God. That's why it is so important when you are having a bad day not to lash out at others--you never know who's life you will have an impact on. And many times your actions speak louder than words--show God's love through you by doing kind things (such as helping this lady up on the train), and give God the Glory for everything! Sorry--I know that's a lot--I didn't mean to start my own blog on your comment page : ) |

PS- You know I read an article on foxnews.com last month about a woman who was kicked off a city bus (somewhere in America) because she was reading scripture to her children outloud. The driver asked her to stop and when she wouldn't he kicked her and her kids off. Later, he gave some flimsy excuse on the 'real' reason he kicked her off. I can't remember what it was, but we all know the real reason she was asked to leave. Yes, this is America...I can recite vulgar hip hop lyrics in public, but I had better not quote scripture to my children. Sad, sad, sad. |

James and Tami: You're doing exactly what I'm needing you to do; voicing what you see and what have seen. Every person who heard him speak and sing was a witness whether they wanted to be or not. The point is this. What did they do with the information? Did they glorify God? Was a seed planted that day? |

Joey: You need to work on this?? It's great!!! It makes you question rather or not we, as people, are running away from or showing others what really makes our hearts glow and thrive. Its the shocking truth that brings reality out in this fantasy world. |
