Okay... Angie just called me a few minutes ago, from the hospital. Here's the news. Over 90% of Jacob's artery was completely destroyed. The doctors were able to save the rest, but he will need another surgery within 2 years from now to correct it. He is still getting transfusions and is being placed in the Critical Care Unit. He can't have visitors while he's there, but the most important thing is *he's alive!* The doctor told Angie that he was actually amazed that Jacob lived through this. Of course, his mother is stressed and scared for her son, we all are. But we know that our God is awesome and will take care of him. I haven't been able to go up to the hospital because I've had my 5 year old with me, but he goes to visit his dad, this evening, so I plan to be there with Angie, tonight. Because of this, I may not be able to send any more updates until quite late, or even tomorrow. But, as long as I am here, I'll keep everything posted, as I hear it. I want to thank you guys again, so very much for all your prayers. Angie sends her thanks as well. We are all so blessed to be loved by a God as big as ours, and to be able to reach out to our fellow Christians for support, during hard times. *Big Hugs* -Nikki |
