God wants you to be sure. The bible says, 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. Another question to consider is : Suppose you were standing before God right now and he asked you,
" Why should I let you into my heaven?" What do you think you would say? you may not know what you would say but...... you can know,because God loves you and has a purpose for your life. The bible states it this way. 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. God`s purpose is that we have eternal life. We can live a full and meaningful life right now 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have [it] more abundantly. We will spend eterinty with Jesus in heaven. 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, [there] ye may be also. Eternal life gives meaning to life. yet... our sinful nature keeps us from fulfilling God`s purpose for our lives.Thus... Our need is to understand our problem. we are all sinners by nature and by choice. 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; we cannot save ourselves. 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. We deserve death and hell. 6:23 For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. It is true that: 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. The good news is that God has provided for the forgiveness of our sins. " In the beginning was the word,and the word was with God,and the word was God.... And the word was made flesh, and dwelt among us" John1;1,14 Jeus died for us on the cross. 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: |
