Serenity Prayer Song
God grant me serenity,
To accept all that must be.
God please give me courage,
To change all that I can.
Living in each day I see,
Every day You give to me.
Enjoying precious moments,
As though they were my last.
Chorus:
Grant me the wisdom,
To know what I should do.
Take all this hardship,
Lead me to Your truth.
You’ll make all things right
As I surrender unto You.

Serenity Prayer

Thanks MaKelly, I should probably say it's a song I adapted, rather than one I wrote. There's enough difference between the two that I could get away with saying written, but I'll say adapted from now on. Thanks Shalene! I've been sitting on this song for about 8 months. I'll take all the blessings I can get ;) |

Thanks Adelle! I appreciate the affirmation =D The last two phrases took 6 months, for some reason. Thanks GrowingInFaith! I'm trying to contact Reinhold Niebuhr's daughter. She recently wrote a book about his prayer which is just the first three lines. Thanks mstovall2003 and Glenn. I plan on sending the copyright CD in soon (I have one more song to finish), then making recordings I want other people to listen too. I hope to have recordings people can listen to by April. |
