| Our Weakness |

26:41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. When I first read this verse, it really touched me. Not only because it is a verse from the Bible, but because this text really had my name all over it. It is that sometimes we are willing to pray and learn from His Word but really it's the body indeed that is weak. But technically it's the Enemy that wants to hold us back and we can't let him win the battle. If we just say, " Oh I have plenty of time to read the Bible" or " I heard from His Word at church, then when will we be on our own? We'll never grow spiritually nor as a person if we think this way forever. These days it is a tremendous temptation to watch an upcoming new show or tonight's Oscars but the truth is, what positive effect does that bring to our lives? I mean, it's ok of course to watch our favorite TV shows and what not but what we really need to remember is to always leave that special time for HIM and to give HIM the time HE deserves. What if when it is our time to leave this Earth, we meet with the Lord and we are not enlisted in his book of life? Then we wonder, "Why am I not in this book"? What if he said, "Sorry but I could not find the time to add your name in it"? That would really be the time of reflection of our own lives and regret all of those times that we were "too busy" to go to church or read from "HIS Word". Since we don't know the date of His coming, this is the time start getting ready for judgement day. What we all need to remember is that He won't ask you "Oh how many As did you get in school"? or "How many awards did you recieve in High School"? He will ask you "How many lives did you save"? Are you ready?? |
