| The Lord's Prayer In Christ Language |
|
| |
Here is the Lord's Prayer in the language in which Christ spoke Aramaic. a-von Our Father dvash-ma-ya in universe nith-ka-dash hallowed be sh-makh thy name ta-ty come mai-co-thakh thy kingdom neh-wey let be sev-is-nakh thy wishes ai-can-na as dvash-ma-ya in universe op so ba-rah in earth hav-lan give us lakh-ma bread dson-ka-nan our need yo-ma-na today wash-bok-lan and release us kho-ben our offenses ai-can-na as dop also kh-nan we sh-bakn have released lkha-ya-ven to our offenders oo-la and do not ta-lan let us enter lnis-u-na into worldliness e-lla but pa-san part us min from bi-sha evil (error) mi-ttol because di-la-khye thine is mal-co-tha kingdom khe-la power oo-tish-bokh-ta and glory la-lam from ages al-min to ages a-men sealed in truth. I Just thought this was neat. Reading this I feel that Jesus was talking right to me.I guss I have a Jewish heart. I have been to Sedar passover meals and other Jewish programs. Maybe the Jewish people are the chosen people. Lee Strobel said that their is formula of faith fround in John 1:12 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name: The key verbs in that verse spell out with mathematical precision what it takes to go beyond mere mental assent to Jesus' deity and enter into an ongoing relationship with Him by becoming adopted into God's family. Believe + Receive = Become 1) We Believe in Jesus + 2) Receive we must say yes come into our heart and receive forgiveness = 3) Become we become Children Of God,We by chose to be chosen. Have you seen The Lord's Prayer written another way? I have in Native American and loved that because I am part Crow. If you know of any other please let me know! GOD BLESS! |

Doyle, AMAZING RESEARCH!
How interesting, especially since it does tie in with the area the Savior lived in. Yes, we're interested--we are GRAFTED in! GREAT WORK!!!! IT's so interesting to do research about the Savior! One thing leads to another interesting thing!!!!!

| I like how the original language uses "release" where we use "forgive." I think that's a good way of looking at forgiveness, is releasing the offender. |
