My prayers are still being lifted.

Thank you Procyon, Doyle, Restore  and Cheryl.  "Do not abandon them, O Lord...do not stand at a distance, O God--Our Banner. Come quickly to help them! O Lord, our Saviour." Ps.38:21-22.
This just in from Rev. Jacob Chacko, our INDIAN GRASSFIRE informant:
IN JAIL : Sunday, Feb. 17...3 Orissan Christians were falsely accused and arrested, to be added to the  8 already in jail.
21 Christians who were falsely accused of sparking the Christmas riots (where only Christian property was burned),  were just released on bail from pressure by the Christian GCIC.  They must still stand trial in VERY hostile Orissa and they have literally given up EVERYTHING THEY OWN FOR CHRIST.
Nine were killed for Jesus' sake...2 died of illness in the refugee camp set up by the government for thousands of Dalits. Many were forced to drink goat blood mixed with raw rice during a "Hindu Homecoming" recanting service, inflicted on them at knifepoint.
I don't think it worked. "Look at those who are honest and good, for a wonderful future lies before those who love peace. But the wicked will be destroyed; they have no future." Ps. 37:37-38
BE MUCH IN PRAYER FOR:
Orissa's Chief Minister NAVEEN PATNAIK...under pressure to resign when, on  Feb. 15,
Five hundred militant Maoists killed 13 police and 1 civilian while looting 1000 guns owned by the government for peace-keeping purposes, including AK-47 rifles.
These same Maoists are trying to goad the frustrated Christinas into retaliating...we must pray they don't cave in.
HOW CAN WE ENCOURAGE THE CHRISTIANS OF ORISSA? What if it were you? Can you think of anything that would help you through this time?

A boy, Silu, age 12 is in jail for being an Indian Christian...hurt by gunfire Christmas Eve.
Pitabassa Digal's oldest son Kailash Digal had brain malaria and was being refused treatment in the hospital until the GCIC put pressure on authorities.
