OK I will try telling you about what I heard and felt. There was a church we were to try out, it was called Believer Penacostal here in our nearby town. Well we got there and there was only one car and no one else, so we decided to go to an old church we haven't been to in a long time. Oh I'm glad we did!! It was like God was standing on that pulpit and was talking directly to me!
Pastor Woody described how a grapevine grows mainly downward, but if it is purged it will go upward and be healthy. But in that growth time the grapevine will pick up trash in its vines, like a piece of paper or a coke cola can or something it that matter. We are the grapevines that are growing out of control with God in our lifes. The cans or trash we pick up along the way could be several things, like hopelessnes, despair, sucidial, depression, failed marriage, there is so much bad we pick up. But if we purged and keep our lives (grapevines) trimmed and healthy we will reach up toward God. We must grab ahold of our faith and never let go, no matter the consquences!
We read out of Matthew and John today.
21:33 Give ear to another story. A master of a house made a vine garden, and put a wall round it, and made a place for crushing out the wine, and made a tower, and let it out to field-workers, and went into another country. 21:34 And when the time for the fruit came near, he sent his servants to the workmen, to get the fruit. 21:35 And the workmen made an attack on his servants, giving blows to one, putting another to death, and stoning another. 21:36 Again, he sent other servants more in number than the first: and they did the same to them. 21:37 But after that he sent his son to them, saying, They will have respect for my son. 21:38 But when the workmen saw the son, they said among themselves, This is he who will one day be the owner of the property; come, let us put him to death and take his heritage. 21:39 And they took him and, driving him out of the vine-garden, put him to death. 21:40 When, then, the lord of the vine-garden comes, what will he do to those workmen? 21:41 They say to him, He will put those cruel men to a cruel death, and will let out the vine-garden to other workmen, who will give him the fruit when it is ready. 21:42 Jesus says to them, Did you never see in the Writings, The stone which the builders put on one side, the same has been made the chief stone of the building: this was the Lord's doing, and it is a wonder in our eyes? 21:43 For this reason I say to you, The kingdom of God will be taken away from you, and will be given to a nation producing the fruits of it. 21:44 Any man falling on this stone will be broken, but he on whom it comes down will be crushed to dust. 21:45 And when his stories came to the ears of the chief priests and the Pharisees, they saw that he was talking of them. 21:46 And though they had a desire to take him, they were in fear of the people, because in their eyes he was a prophet.
15:1 I am the true vine and my Father is the gardener.
Little saying Pastor Woody said these little sayings and I just loved them! "Faith comes by hearing." "I am crazy to believe God can do anything!! Wow now those make sense!
This church has done alot of praying and has a great of faith, I only pray that they grow and God gives them what he sees fit. They have seen their share of miracles, many I cannot even begin to tell you. It started out with the church being built. They called the water CO and the CO said it would take atleast 5 years for them to get water out to the property, will they prayed hard and God got them water out here in just months! And then they called for the tax stuff for the church, they IRS said it would take over a year, so they prayed and it only took 1 month! Wow if God can do that, enough what else He can do!
I am not so good at this so bare with me and pray tht God will let me share what I hear. I only pray that God will help keep the junk out of my vine (my life), keep my life healthy and that I hold onto Him nice and tight so I never give up! Praise Him, I am so unworthy, but yet He has forgiven and loves me so very much. Well enough for today, GB, April |
