This is such a great word picture! I think the first place the devil tries to take up residence is in our thought processes- if we can identify him there, it will be much easier to keep him out of our actions.

AMEN!!!!!!! Ungodly thoughts are sneaky little things that lead to ungodly words, and eventually ungodly actions! No doubt God knew exactly what He was saying in Phil 4:8 Finally brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy- meditate on these things.

Wow, this spoke to me like I have never been spoken to before. Yes it's true to build people up and make them stronger. It is so true not to let the devil in our homes and we should wear our christian clothing. People look at me differently but for me, that is ok. I would rather be an outcast to the world than accepted for not stepping up and being true to God. My Dad made my household a beautiful cross and we are going to hang it in an open corner for all who come in to see it. Not only is this a good reminder to us, it is helpful to know that we are not "hiding ourselve's" to the world anymore.
Thank you so much Pastor Jim, This is a message worth sharing with everybody!
