| The Counter-Forrest-Gump Rule |

Remember the movie? It was just a real joy to watch and the time just flew, watching this bumbling anti-hero winning the day. Over the years, I have quoted the Forrest Gump rule many, many times. If I was a Sunni Moslem, I might quote it as "Shiite happens." However, Forrest used a different word. It reminds us that bad things do happen.
However, I have been trying to get the negativity out of my life. I hardly ever watch the news any more, because I just get so disgusted with interviews of different business, scientific, social, educational and political "leaders" who just keep touting more know-it-all hype, when in truth the world is run by people who don't have a clue.
Instead, I have begun focusing more on the positive side of life, the good that is all around us, and I'm trying to let go and let God take care of the evils. Hence, my new Counter-Forrest-Gump rule:
GOOD HAPPENS!
4:8 For the rest, my brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things have honour, whatever things are upright, whatever things are holy, whatever things are beautiful, whatever things are of value, if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, give thought to these things. May good happen to you today!
