As many of you, there are many things that I'm waiting "on God" to see the total fulfillment of every promises into my live.
When it's going to happen? Is a daily question; for that reason, I've been reading the Bible, and speaking with my mentor regarding the subject of the "time of God."
Those are some of the thoughts and conclusions. The time of God can refer to several things. Obviously there are things that God has decreed will happen in His timing, such as the return of the Lord.
In terms of those things that happen on the earth the Lord has given us the principle of seed time and harvest. There is always a time between sowing and reaping. That is true in the natural world and the spiritual world.
As a consequence of this principle, some things that could happen for us in the spiritual or physical realms will not happen because no 'seed' has been sown. No matter how much time passes, if no seed is sown, no harvest will be reaped.
This can refer to prosperity, restoration or any number of topics. God has given us His Word to deliver, heal and prosper us, but if we do not sow the word into our hearts and lives, and act on it, believe it and proclaim it, the desired result will never manifest.
So in that sense of the word, the 'time of God' can be the time between sowing and reaping.
Ga 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
Heb 6:12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
We know that the promises of God are yes and amen, and they are for us, nevertheless there is a patience that is required many times before we see the manifestation of the answer.
For that reason the Bible definition of faith is, "the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." (Heb. 11:1)
Obviously there are levels of faith and/or unbelief that we must deal with. Some will see immediate results and others may not. This is where persistence and patience come into play. We know the enemy is defeated and has no legal right in our lives. But Paul exhorts us to walk in the full armor of God (revelation knowledge) that we might stand firm against the wiles of the enemy. This is an ongoing fight. We also need to undestand our authority in Christ, we need to understand the two different aspects that our authority refers to. The first area of authority is against the works of the enemy. We see Jesus weilding this authority against the storm, against demons, and against sicknesses. We have this same authority. Anything within our sphere of influence that comes to steal, kill and destroy must submit to our authority in Christ, to the degree that we understand and walk in that authority. The other aspect of authority is the authority of the believer to receive all the blessings that have been given us in Jesus through His redemptive work. This is similar to what we have already discussed concerning seed time and harvest. We have been given 'exceeding, precious promises' (2 Pet. 1:4) and those promises must be sown into our hearts, believed, and acted upon. |
