I'm with you David, The more we pray the more things will change. We have the power right here on MyChurch. One can chase a thousand and two can put 10,000 to a flight, and we have over
100,000 Christians on this site. I think I just felt a shaking, Satan is nervous, Hell is restless.

Pastor Elam,
There is a National Day of Prayer on May 1 and a national organization to that effect.  I suggest we plan on as many people from MyChurch as possible to post the fact and plan on an e-community wide event for that.

I realize it's not the date you had originally suggested but its a large event that we can show we're a part of.

I  have been checking out mychurch and there are a lot of urgent prayer request that I don't think can wait till May 1. So when May 1 comes we can still do the e-community wide event, but since we don't know what tomorrow will bring we  have already started so we will just stick to Feb7-8 and I like the idea of a weekly prayer meeting. We can't get enough Prayer.

Thanks, Pastor.  Just so I get the times correct (I plan on posting this on my blog as well with a link here) the start time for fasting is midnight, Thursday night and ends on Friday evening at 6 pm - 18 hours.  Right?

I re-read what you wrote and what I wrote.  I'm thinking its midnight, Wednesday night to start.  effectively it is all 24 hours of Thursday, plus 6 hours Friday morning.  That sounds better, doesn't it?

Wonderful!  Also, if any are concerned about health issues RE:  fasting; Marilyn Hickey wrote a wonderful book:  The Power of Prayer and Fasting, which addresses these concerns also.

Yes Thank you Cheryl, If you have health issues please use wisdom if you can only fast half a day or one hour we just want to be unified. Mostly in prayer I have been thinking about all of the prayer request that I have seen on mychurch.maybe someone can start a list of prayer request.or maybe you have your own personal request. I will start with my sight that it will be restored to 20/20 in both eyes. That our finances will hold up because I had to go on disability until my sight is restored medically or spiritually.I had been on this job 19 years and now our income has been cut badly but the lord has been faithful. So that is my prayer request or part of it.

Halleujah!!! This is just in time for Lent too. LOL! I thought I would mention that. You can count me in as well. Also if you are participating in Lent this year, which starts Ash Wednesday Feb 6th, whatever you give up or if you are fasting also add these issues into your prayer time during Lent. That will be so powerful I think.

To be honest, I can't only do water: i gotta have juice, cause I still have to chase a toddler around and I would pass out from low blood sugar. I am cutting meat out starting now though, to make it a lot easier!  No one should feel bad if they can't do a complete fast.  There are many different kinds.

It is all about the prayer If you can fast that is wonderful if not I believe God will still honer the fact
that we are united in prayer.
