The other day I drove my wife to her doctor’s appointment. As I usually do, I sat in the car reading a textbook for the current class I am taking. About an hour and a half later, my wife was finished with the appointment, came out to the car and gave me the news. The doctor thought that the mole that was on her might be cancerous. He was concerned with the potential depth of the possible cancerous mole and said it would take about a week to get the results of the biopsy. After we left the doctor, Michelle and I went to get something to eat. As our meal was being served, I looked at her across the table and had to hold back the tears. I kept thinking, “I can’t lose her.” You see, it was about two years ago that I sat by my father’s bedside, while he lay dying of cancer and the memory of that experience still lingers. As I sat there eating supper with Michelle, the thought of the possibility seeing her go through the same thing was almost more that I can handle. While there probably will not be anything to come of this, it did lead me to ponder on the truth found in Psalm 103:1-4. The Psalm starts of by describing who God is. The Psalmist called God, “Lord,” and states correctly that He is holy. As I arrived home that night I opened up this verse and it reminded me to look at who God is. He is the all powerful God who is deserving of worship and praise despite my circumstances. Consequently, I began to praise him and give him the honor and glory that is due Him. However, the hymn doesn’t stop by describing who God is. It goes on to recount what God does. In effect, what the psalmist does is relate who God is with what He does. This all powerful, all knowing God pardons iniquities, heals bodies, redeems lives, and crowns us with loving kindness and compassion. What the Holy Spirit ministered to me was that I should first look to God and see Him for who he is. When I do this, faith is built up in me because I now see what he can do. Therefore, if the test results come back negative, which I am trust God that it will, it reflects a God who is executing His sovereign protection. If the test concludes that it is in fact cancer, the God that I worship is also the God who can heal. Despite what happens, I can take solace in the fact that an all-powerful God who is sovereign, is in complete control of my situation. |

Dear Tim, I praise God along with you. He is the creator and Master of the Universe. He knows what is best for us. He will give us a miracle if thats His will. To pray for a miracle is our duty and I would just do that. May the Almighty give you and Michelle the desires of your heart. She will be healed and you will see a miracle. |

Pastor Tim, I pray for your strength that you may be a rock for your wife. I believe that, By the help of God, If all of us would touch and agree The Lord will cause there to be nothing but a mole. We claim it in Jesus Name. |

| As I read your blog memories of my cancer came back to me. Your last paragraph touched me as it was the thoughts and prayer that helped me. As I reflect on that time your words reminded me how my husband was feeling. As we look back now we continue to praise Our Lord for the healing but in my case I praise him even more for his salvation. Our Father is in control and He offers the comfort and peace that only He can give. My prayers for an excellent report will be lifted up for your wife and you. God Bless you both! |

Pastor Tim,
Isn't it awesome that He is in complete control over this particular situation with Michelle but more importantly, this particular situation did not catch Him by surprise? Before Michelle even was, He had already thought about and provided for everything. That He is, is simply awesome. My prayers are with you and Michelle.

| Lord, Please touch Michelle and Pastor Tim and give them peace. You already know the results, but I pray that you would quiet their hearts and minds as they await this news. Please grant full healing in the Name of Jesus! We believe that the same Lord who has the power to save souls, can save them from this situation. Amen. |

| I was just thinking last night, while trying to fall asleep, that I am scared of the day my husband leaves this earth. Of course, it could be me first, who knows, but I was still scared. It is really foolish to think and worry on things that we have no control over, that may or may not ever happen. I tend to forget that at times, and I have to yank my thoughts away from thinking like that, and back to concentrating on God being the one in control and the one to take care of me. One day we won 't be here anymore and we will be there with Him, that is all we need to concentrate on. My prayers are that your wife's mole is not cancer, and if it is, that it is easily treatable. |

Lifting your wife and you up in Prayers
For these who are sick, have medical conditions, or have suffered accidents, I ask You to look upon them with Your mercy and compassion. I know our days are numbered and sometimes You have a different plan, but You have taught us that sometimes we don't have what's needed because we haven't asked, and so I ask for healing. May Your Spirit help me when I don't know what to ask, and above all, may Your will be done. (Romans 9:15; Psalm 139:16; James 4:2b; Romans 8:26; Matthew 6:10) |

| Pastor Tim, see how the saints are concerned about the health of your dear wife! It is their prayer and concern for your wife that will give her long life. Do not bother about the medical report of a doctor! What is more relevant here is the word of prophecy that goes out from the mouths of many a saint in this forum that your wife should be alright. Do not bother about Tuesday. Many Tuesdays will come and go in the life of my dear sister, Mrs.Tim! It is God Who is our Shepherd. Jehovah Rah is in our midst. Our God is on the throne, highly lifted up. We are looking at this exalted Lord. Go and rejoice in the Lord for He is the miracle for us. |

Pastor Tim, God did allow you to undergo this path of suffering with anxities in your heart. When your spouse or a loved one is undergoing a medical examination for an ailment like cancer, God knows your thoughts and anxities which no one who has never gone through the same path could understand.
I can understand the agonies of your heart. You will now be in a better to shed your tears for the people of God who are suffering from this disease, cancer. A dear brother of mine in Christ in USA is on the deathbed for cancer as the doctors have pronounced "death" on him. We can only shed our tears before God with a real burden in our heart.
Dear Tim, you are now happy because the doctor has declared that the mole was benign. Let us remember the hundreds of dear sisters in the Body of Christ who could not receive the same good report but they went home disappointed with tears in their eyes. The family members of these precious saints are daily passing through anxious moments as their loved ones are nearing the gate of glory. Let us remember these families and minister to them by words of exhortation and by our tears. |
