| One great game. |

Hello everyone.
It's been quite awhile since I've blogged, but I just wanted to fill everyone in on something that happened last night. As many of you know we (His Church) has two basketball teams. It's competitve, but a fun atmosphere.
Our second team (even though last year they won the league tourney) ended up playing with only five guys last night due to a wedding and other commitments. Things didn't look good since the team they were playing beat them two weeks ago even though we had a full roster that week.
We jumped out to a lead pretty quickly, but the other team came back. It was a back and forth game, with lots of excitement. In the end we didn't win, but to be able to keep it that close and some different calls, they could easily have won.
To Kevin S, Joel S, Joel R, Keith, and Mike T - I congratulate you on a great game, an awesome effort, and I just wanted to say I'm proud of you. That is showing courage, dedication, and willingness to sacrifice in the face of "impossible" odds. The team could have easily given up and even forfitted, but played it out and did nothing to embarass themselves or His Church in the process. Good job.
Of course team one will beat you next time we face ;) .
On another note, after the game one of our fellow church members put their car in a ditch right outside the school. It was stuck REAL good. Why do I bring it up? Because like we do, we came together and worked as a team to get it out. With one driving and so many others pushing on the front and side, we were able to get the car out and on the road. My wife said that someone told her that we would never get the car out without a tow truck, man I wish I would have heard that. Not much motivates me more than someone telling me I can't do something. We'd have been out ten minutes earlier had I heard it ;) .
The thing is it never would have happened without teamwork. That is one thing that I love about our church, when we see an obsticle to overcome, we face it and work together to make it happen. Thank you to everyone who helped. We were given two great opportunities to show how Christians act and how they can overcome and we did good, all glory to God.
Shawn
