Steve,
Fascinating post.  Looks like you are about equipping all the saints for the work of service, pressing into personal and corporate intimacy with God in the Spirit, taking it to the streets in power, and keeping it real.  AMEN!  Have you by any chance seen or read a book by Frank Viola and George Gallup called Pagan Christianity

Fabulous.

Let us pray that our generation may be your sixth group on the list! ;-)

Great Grace!

Lara:  The Anabaptists were an awesome group of believers.  They were persecuted both by the Catholics and by the Reformers.  They desired to go back to Biblical Christianity and felt that Luther and Calvin didn't go nearly far enough.  They are known as "The Radical Reformation."  The main anabaptist groups today are the Mennonites, the Amish, and the Hutterite Brethern.

Amen, Mrs. Leonard!  What a great prayer.  God please raise up a group in our day that will be as powerful in the Spirit as those five groups!

Great insight, Steve on the progression of the moves of the Holy Spirit up through the ages. It's true that none of us can claim we have everything right when it comes to doctrine. I believe God is getting ready for the next big wave, just as Mrs. Leonard is hoping for. It's not going to be like anything we've ever known before. He is taking those who are seeking Him with all their hearts, those who long to know Him deeper and more intimately to new heights. God will no longer allow us to put Him inside our boxes of religion and tradition. He has promised that when He comes back for us it will be to a GLORIOUS Bride, not one that is worn out, wounded and apathetic.  I believe that He is going to pur His glory into us, and that it will be so evident in our lives that we won't even have to speak. People will be saved, healed and delivered because of the power of His presence in our lives. Get ready, it's going to be exciting!

I too believe God is getting ready for a big wave of revival and spiritual awakening, Lori.

Lara:  The first few generations of those denominations were on fire, but most Christian groups begin to lose their fire after two or three generations.  They tend to become dry and legalistic.
