| God will not share His Glory |

Ever notice that the sky cannot be changed by man? Nor the heavens. They can go to the moon and add things to it....but they cannot change the shape. The heavens are vast and continue to grow....but they cannot change them...only God can. Why?????
Because 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament showeth his handiwork. Psalms 19:1-3 Likewise, God is not going to share His glory with you or me. So if you are disalusioned by your church why are you on My Church. If you do not believe in tithing why are you on My Church? People are the church. Face it. And you are the Church...if so you believe that God died and rose again and His body is the Church. But you are only a part of it. God gives leadership and authority....and if those people needed my opinion and yours they would ask for it.
Go ahead....dont give. You only hurt yourself because if you do not give the tithe....God will take it. It belongs to Him.

Dear sister. Suzenne in christ, Greetings My opinion and understanding on the TITHING is in the Old Testament God has commanded the Isrelities to offer Tithe. Not only Tithe. But there are several commands aparts from the Ten commandments. In the New Testament, He came to fulfill the same and even he wanted us to be more matured than the Old Testament people as now Jesus came to us and redeemed by the Blood of Jesus Christ and also he has given us the Holy spirit to dwell in us permanenetly. so with the help of Holy Spirit, we can be more faithful and holy to God. As we know he was preaching on the mountain on several things (Mathew 5-7 Chapters) which teaches us to be more holy it is because of the help of the HOLY SPIRIT AND THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST . The same way if we analyse the difference between Old and New Testaments, we can understand that God wants us to obey with our free will and indeed he is happy when we are heartfully and cheerfully obey him without fear and murmouring. so in the Old Testament it was a command to give Tithe (wethere you desire or not) and in the new Testament it is a free will (II Cor 9th Chapter). So what I come to say, my opinion is no one should be compelled and threatened to give Tithe as the pastors to enjoy the money. But according to the NT system belivers must give with their cheerful heart and not on compulsion. Even if they give without cheerful heart, I belive they will not be blessed by GOD.Now another question how much should give . I belvie if someome starts giving cheerfully to God, then he will not simply give 10% and as he is having cheful heart towards God, he will give more than 10%. And also there are people telling around that it has to GO TO CHURCH ALONE. I AM NOT AGGREEING WITH THAT as we are under NT systerm and we have 5 fold ministries which is equvalent to the Levities in the OT. So it can be distributed to all those. I need your comment on my opinion sister.

Thank you so much, Christy. Good answer. But the Word of God also says to give and it shall be given to you, pressed down and overflowing will men give unto you bosom 6:38 give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, shall they give into your bosom. For with what measure ye mete it shall be measured to you again.

Do unto others as they would do unto you. Now Abraham gave a 10th of his goods to Michelzidek. He is considered the high priest and everyone believes this is based on the tithe. But you do have to give with a cheerful heart. But you owe God a tenth of what you earn. Although we are not under the law but grace, still as Jesus was not under the law, yet He fulfilled it and it did not consider it a problem to do what His Father said to do. The law is pure wisdom. The law is love. So why would you want to walk any other way. And the Holy Spirit comes and is a Helper....He helps you to change from the inside out until you actually "want" to give. And Christy, that is how we are blessed. When we give of our money, God gives us back twice as much sometimes even more. We are also to give our time, talents, and selves....and we are blessed for it abounding ..... Let me put it this way with a testimony. When I married the first time....I did not go to church, I became the mother of two children. I lived with that man 5 years. I did not go to church but I did know about Jesus because my mom brought me to church. Anyway, he was on drugs so I left him. I went on welfare and for the next 12 years I got involved in a Baptist church. I started giving them $1 and then my welfare check was raised so I gave $2. Soon I was giving $10 a week because I started working at various jobs and I started to prosper. Went to college, got a degree.....And the more I made the more I gave. Until one day the Lord showed me how to shop for groceries and to store up extra's. Because of that, I am now debt free, have my own home, and can go out and buy anything I want when I want it.
Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. My church and religion believes in the Old and the New Testament. We adhere to both. You will find the same Words of Jesus in the Old Testament....because He was in the old testament. He was in the fire with Daniel. He was Mechelzidek. mechelzidek
And Christy, if you are not prospering I guarantee that if you start giving....more than the tithe, you will be astonished at what happens when you do. In fact, you cannot afford not to give.
When you give, you are not giving to these church people, but to the store house. You do not have to give it all to the church. You can "plant seeds" anywhere. Usually I wait on the Holy Spirit to let me know where to give. |

| Tithing is more than just money, money means nothing to the Lord, He has it all and owns it all ... what He wants is for us to give freely of ourselves to Him and to others .... what He gives us is not for our own selves.... not for what we can get .... unfortunately some give just to get more from the Lord. God sees our hearts and knows are real reasons. We must tithe our time and love also to others. |
