"It's Because of You"
Let Him Lead Written by: Kimberly D Thomas-Waters July 20, 1997 (I wrote this song with a burden on my heart. I was lonely. I was 17 and had not dated yet. Sure I had folks ask but guys that I knew were up to no good, not my type, or they weren't Christians. I didn't want to date just to date, but I wanted the right one for me... God's chosen one for me. I wanted to meet and start a relationship with the guy I would eventually marry. I had made mistakes growing up, hung around the wrong people and partook of things that only brought me harm and embarrassment. I didn't want to go back to that life. I simply wanted to live for God. I prayed and prayed for God to order my steps and help me not to mess up. I wanted God to take the lead."
I Want to Know You More Written by: Kimberly D Thomas-Waters August 8, 2001 (Pretty simple. The title says it all. I wrote this song while praying. As I began to pray these words, I decided to write this prayer and it became a poem/song. My heart's desire is to know God more. I want to walk in His footsteps. I want to be made new. I want to fall more in love with Him. I want to know Him more. He's everything to me and I can't live a day without Him. I wouldn't want to if I could. He's the King of all kings and the Lord of all lords. He's a wonderful and beautiful God! He has my heart!
I Made It Through Written by: Kimberly D Thomas-Waters September 27, 1998 (This song was written as my testimony. I was 18 years old when I wrote this song, but I felt as though I had too many experiences for my young age. At 13, my uncle committed suicide. I was very close to my uncle. I spent many summers with him. It wasn't easy having to lose him in that way. I struggled a long time with his death. As you will hear in this song, I made it through that situation as well as some other situations all because of God! He truly is a friend that sticks closer than any brother. There are times when we feel like there's no one who understands, who sees what we're going through, or that even cares to help us come through it... but God cares! He's right there! And when you trust in Him, you'll come through it realizing that you made it through because of Him!
It's Because of You Written by: Kimberly D Thomas-Waters January 31, 2001 (I wrote this song during an alter service. I was playing and singing as different ones were praying in the alters. As others began to get up and take their seat, there was the one young lady still crying in the alters. I don't know to this day what her petitions were to the Lord, but I know this, she was meaning business. She needed something from God that night and she wasn't getting up until her need was met. She prayed for probably 2 hours or more. Others had already left to go home and she continued to pray. As she continued to pray, I continued to play and sing. These words began to flow as God gave me the melody to play. The Holy Spirit dwelled among us in that church that night. It was just us and God. It was amazing. I'll never forget that night! She prayed through and began to worship. God's presence was evident and overwhelming. This song was my worship during that time that I sang and played in awe of who God is and what He was doing right in front of me. Words can't describe the experience of being in His presence, so please don't think I'm trying to captivate it and contain it in words, this were the words and the melody that flowed from my heart and lip and fingers during that time.
More of Your Glory Written by: Kimberly D Thomas-Waters November 3, 2007 (This song was written during my personal break through. This song followed a vision God gave me. I saw a pot with cracks in it. Water was poured in it but it kept leaking. Bottom line, it couldn't do the job it was created to do. But instead of discarding the pot as you and I would do, the Potter decided to break it, melt it down so He could remold that pot into beauty and worth again.
No matter what you're going through it's important to remember, God is at work in your life. Release your situation, your life, your worries, your insecurities, your pain and surrender your will to His. It's amazing how He works in our lives. Without knowing it, He's always doing a work in us. Creating us into beauty, breaking us as we become moleded to this world's design causing cracks in our lives. Our disappointments, abuse, hurt, our scars... all prove to disable us, but God takes our vessels and instead of discarding them as the enemy tries to tell us is the case, God recreates us into beautiful vessels of honor and sees much in us.)
Lord, Break My Heart Written by: Kimberly D Thomas-Waters July 20, 1997 (I wrote this song when I was 17 years old. My heart's desire was to simply make a difference in this world. I was ready to dedicate myself completely to the cause of Christ. I cried and prayed for God to allow me to see others as He sees them. I wanted then as I do now, to love others as He loves others. I want to share the heart of Christ. 10 years later, my desires have only grown. I am still driven by love to see the lost saved.)
Everything Will Be All Right Written by: Kimberly D Thomas-Waters March 11, 2000 So often Satan battles us with the guilt of our past. Though we've received forgiveness, Satan attacks our minds by constantly hanging past sins, failures and mistakes over our heads. No matter what we accomplish in Christ we're haunted by our failures. I wrote this song during one of those attacks. My mind was racked with why I wasn't worth anything to Christ. My thoughts were consumed with all I've done wrong and how I continue to fail God. I was praying confessing all my faults to God, though He knows them all. As I prayed these words began to come to mind.
God knows right where you are. He knows your faults, He sees everytime you fail Him, yet He loves you just the same. He freely offers forgiveness of every sin. It's impossible to be too sinful, too dirty, too used, too cracked and broken. He can take you just as you are and transform you into beauty. He wants you, desires you and is in love with you. He desires to wipe your slate clean, renew you, recreate you and direct you towards your purpose in life. He designed you speacial, no matter what the world says... no matter what your friends say... no matter what your parents say... you are beautiful... you are precious and are of great worth. You are priceless!
Sold Out to You Written by: Kimberly D Thomas-Waters June 25, 2005 (I wrote this song while going through some of the hardest struggles I'd ever faced. Being faced with persecution on all sides, I had to make a very hard decision. Was I going to cave in and be like everyone else, live the way others tell me to live, live to please others, or be simply who God created me to be? The decision wasn't so hard the consequences, however, were. There are people in life who love to run others, make decisions for others and feel the 'need' to tell others how to look, talk and live. If "they" run up against someone whose only desire is to please God, let's just say they aint happy. I run up against some... let me say... I'm stronger today for it. I didn't cave in but fasted and prayed like never before. I felt like my world crumbled around me but in the end, here I am, stronger, more determined and completely sold out to God!)
Love of My Life Written by: Kimberly D Thomas-Waters January 27, 2000 (I was single, battling the feelings of being lonely, living in a new place without any friends. I prayed and prayed for the right one but God only removed people from my life. I debated moving back where I grew up. I was so discontent where I was living and did I mention... lonely! I wrote this song after praying for hours in my bedroom telling God exactly how I felt about my life and my mistakes and well let's just say everything!!)
Whatever Life May Bring Written by: Kimberly D Thomas-Waters September 9, 2001 (I wrote this song on the way to the ER. I was 10 weeks pregnant and was told I could be losing my baby. This song was written from my heart to God.)

| Thank you so much, Rosie!! Please continue to keep me in your prayers!! All I want is to be a reflection of Jesus, to shine His light and to lift Him up. I know when He is high and lifted up, He will draw ALL men to Him. That's my heart's desire. I want to see the lost saved, the broken hearts mended, broken marriages bound together strong than ever, the saint exhorted, churches made stronger, minister's encouraged and exhorted and my desire is to see churches grow!!! God is able!! |

Great stuff!!!!
The vocals cant really be made out and the piano is a little overbearing but thats what a "scratch "recording is about right?
Your voice is fantastic ! As a Christian DJ who was the host of Back to The Rock for a decade I would have played the musi off your cd project without question.
God has blessed you - stay focused! |
