| Not taking for granted. |

Hi one and all;
It's been a little over 7 months since I quit smoking. I think its safe to say I'm a non smoker now. I havent used drugs or liquor since May 11th of 1989, I think I can quit referring to myself as a drunk or a junkie. I'm still struggling financially and I think its safe to say I have some lessons to learn about stewartship. The Celebrate recovery folks refer to these as life hurts habits and hangups. For me I start progressing better in my walk when I call a sin a sin.
A personal struggle myself is when I start letting the world tell me who I am. That's the Lords Job. But the world really want's us to walk in it's ways. 5:8 Be sober, be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking some one to devour.
So I was watching Joyce Meyers briefly after I woke up this afternoon. She was talking with some one about self esteem. And lets face us our enemy does like to lie, and he likes to accuse.
With our great commision being what it is, I believe that we need to remember that we are trying to share Jesus. I keep forgeting that if I'm just an earthen vessel that's what I'm suppose to be.

| Congrats on your 7 months with out a cancer stick....I like to say what Joyce Meyers says I'm not yet where i'm going but thank God i'm not where i was................Keep pressing in and on. |

Thanks Keith my friend good to have you back, I need to also be posting these BLOGS somewhere more secular. I think I may have been a little hasty withdrawing from the anonymous fellowships. But then again I'm sure I was doing what I was told to do. It may becoming close to time to view these things as mission fields.
I need to be praying for more clarity. I need to do a better jab of looking for the father's, hand in all of this.

You are a testimony to those around you. I am one that sometimes lets the lies of the enemy try to stop me! Once we truly know who we are in Jesus Christ...WOW!

Yes, the enemy does like to tear us down, accuse, and lies to us, you are absolutely right. It's funny how the timing of hearing something can be so perfect, isn't it? I thank God for the many times HIS timing was perfect, even for little encouraging messages as well as the biggies. HE is awesome. |

| Dave, isn't it amazing how simple the message is, but how easy we get distracted from it? I speak for myself, my friend, and you have said it so well above. Keeping our eyes focused on that prize is a lifelong discipline to learn. Gotta say, I think we get better at it as we get older....I don't say that pridefully. Just making an observation. |
