We need this everywhere so man can know God still in control of everything on heaven and earth.

Amen. True miracles take place in mission fields where the Name of Jesus Christ is not known.  During the New Testament days, such miracles were taking place.  But now, the preachers attempt to display God's power on the stages.  When we go and preach the gospel in places not reached by the gospel, such miracles do take place.

I agree Job, this is probably one of the reasons we are not seeing this in the "Western Church"

May I humbly add this comment: My humble and godly pastor taught me something new (that I didn't know) about miracles on Sunday from Acts 3 and Acts 4:9-12.
He said MIRACLES ALWAYS HAPPEN FOR A PURPOSE greater than just the healing, or raising back to life, or demons being cast out etc.
In the case of Acts 3 and 4, right after the miracle, Peter and John were arrested just weeks after the same guys had KILLED Jesus Christ of Nazareth. The purpose for the miracle was to give credibility to the speakers so people would listen to them share about salvation.
Peter had told the crippled man, "In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk."  Peter pulled him up and the man, crippled from birth, was healed by the power of God. He was excited, joyful "evidence", sitting waving his hand in the courtroom...Evidence of a life that was changed by the power of God and proof of God's seal of approval on what Peter and John were doing in evangelism. It was not a matter for arguement with the evidence sitting right there. (Or in the case of the dead girl, standing right there.) Unmistakable change is irrefutable. When God begins to work in a person, he/she has a boldness, and confident knowledge, a strength inside not there before. They stay "on task"...focused on what things are important.
We must pray for people and share the gospel...the greatest form of love and care we can have. Nothing is more important than a person's eternal soul...any other help, while opening doors to the evangelist, is temporary. The danger is to stop focusing on evangelising and to start focusing mainly on helping the community....a sure way to crash and burn. WHILE we are helping we must be fishing, or our helping is in vain...putting on a band-aid when a heart transplant is needed.

Connie, you have taught a great truth here. Miracles take place not just for keeping someone happy in his/her life but for the propagation of the gospel.
