| I’m not an “Average” person |
|
| |
I refuse to accept that I’m an “average” person, or that my family is and “average” family. Somebody told me! We are only human. Then, talking about parenting, they said to me “nobody knows what our daughters and sons are going to be when they grow up. Backsliding and mistakes are part of the learning process!!!!” Nobody knows the future! I don’t understand that theory, but let me tell you, he is not the first person I heard with that mentally. Now I question myself, according to that theory, do I suppose to settle my life and daughter’s life for less? Or for the worse? COME ON>>>Give me a break! I’m sick and tired of this kind of “Christian mentally”. This world is full of “Christians” that say “Nobody knows the will of God”. It’s because they don’t read the Bible. His Word is his perfect will!
Philemon 6 says, "That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus." This verse makes it clear that your faith becomes effectual (starts working) by knowing the good things in your spirit. You could turn that verse around and not change the meaning by saying that if you don't know what's taken place in your spirit man, your faith won't work.
Most people today believe there isn't any good thing in us. We've been taught that the way to activate the power of God in our lives is to keep our unworthiness and weaknesses continually before us.
Many people believe that acknowledging the bad things of their “old nature” they are humiliating before God, so they can be exalted. Why instead of living a life in condemnation and expecting the worse for us; we just start acting according to His promises?
I ask you why instead of humble before God with a “sinful-conscience” let us present ourselves as a living sacrifice (Roman 12) and let’s start loving the unlovable, molding our character, taking care of our temple, repudiate the pleasure of the flesh, loving what God loves and hating what He hates! I challenge you, start doing it and you’ll smell your flesh burning…Do you know how I call that…been humble!
When you choose to rule over your flesh; immediately you are exalting your Spirit!
I don’t know about you; but I’m not just a woman. I’m full of the Holy Gosh. I have the power of the Holy Spirit inside of me. I got the promises that the Holy Spirit is going to show me things to come. So I do not have to go through life as a blind man, stumbling, falling and making mistakes. God can warn me before. Inside of me is the SAME power that rose Jesus from the dead; so why do I have to worried about the “flu season”, or my daughter’s future…I have the “zoe” life inside of me. I’m not just a human, I’m not mere mortal…I’m a born again person! 1/3 of me is identical to the Lord Jesus Christ But if you can’t see this thing inside of you, you can walk on the earth just like the “average”…Expecting Nothing and you’ll get NOTHING You need to start revolutionizing your life with the knowledge of the good thing you have in Christ We are totally superior to any weapon the devil can use against us. We are world overcomers (1 John 5:4). Hebrews 12:2 says we have to look unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, but most of us have been looking at ourselves. No wonder we've been weary and have fainted in the battle (Heb. 12:3)! As we change our attention from our own frailty to Christ's sufficiency and take our place in Him, our faith will be activated, and we'll begin to live like the King's kids that we are.
I feel better now that I could express myself…Thank you for listening to me! Hahahahaha Love you guys! |

| There IS nothing good in our flesh. But Jesus living inside of us is good! So that would transform us and we are qualified to be partakers of that very God nature. Sooooooooo, I know whatcha mean. I have seen kids who are now adults, that chose to learn from other ppl's mistakes, and they love the Lord with all their hearts! They didn't need to backslide or do all sorts of not so bright things; they chose Him from the get-go. I know i would much rather my son learn from our mistakes and others than try it out himself. |

Amen!! Thanks Lara.
I said the Bible was written so we can learn from others! I don't accept, neighter belive, that Vanessa has to "backslide" a do so many "wordly" things to learn and then repent....What's that? ..she "won't depart from the Lord" |

How one can assume that christians are only human is amazing to me. 1:3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that [pertain] unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: 1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. 2 Peter 1:3-4 KJ
Wow !!

It's true though. We are more than Conquerors through Christ. Sometimes I need to brand that on my forehead. |

Oh my sister thank you. We are more...We are God's creative concepts. He thought, He spoke, He created for His will and benefit. The application of the word to our lives makes us more than THAT!!!
1 Peter 2:9 - But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.
Does that sound ordinary to you!!!!!!

Can't know God's will?? Posh!
"Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will."
You are right Jenily, none of us need be "average", none of us need live with our weakness and failures ever before us! Let's live a life of discovery! Discoving God's will for us daily! Thanks for inspiring me to think about this Jenily! |

jenily I'm blessed when i read your blog. Is wonderful to know that I'm not average person because I have The Power of God inside of me, many years ago i don't know that reality but now i live my life daily with that truth in my heart. I belive that if many people live in authority about The Power of God and His promises the Kingdom's Gospel would be predicate through of our lives. My sister always is very nice to be with you through of this way...Please let me know your revelations... |

You wrote, "As we change our attention from our own frailty to Christ's sufficiency and take our place in Him, our faith will be activated, and we'll begin to live like the King's kids that we are." I can not agree more! He is sufficient for all our needs and He has already overcome the world in us! Amen Amen. peace |
