4:7 Happy are those who have forgiveness for their wrongdoing, and whose sins are covered. 4:8 Happy is the man against whom no sin is recorded by the Lord.
We all make mistakes! If nothing else is true this is a fact of life. There are some children of God who believe that their past indiscretions somehow excludes them from the grace of the Father. Nothing could be farther from the truth.
God uses everyone for His purposes regardless of their flaws. We don’t have to look far into the bible for proof of my statement. Moses murdered a man, but God used him to perform some of the greatest miracles ever known , David seduced his friends wife and sent him to die in battle, but Psalms is one of the most beautiful books in the entire bible, Jonah tried to run from God (good luck) to avoid his calling to preach in Nineveh, but after a push in the right direction he fulfilled his duties.
From personal experience I know the doubts that can creep into your mind about the grace of God. I have been chosen to be an apostle for Jesus, He has given me a clear message to bring about the healing of God’s church and to unify all God’s children in love. A very daunting task to say the least, and like many before me a question my right to perform such a feat. At night when I am in bed my mind wanders and the evil one tries to plant the doubts in my soul. You are a murderer, you have lied, the list of my sins seems endless. I am sure we have faced these doubts at one time in our lives, but we must remember, no one is perfect, everyone fails. God will forgive our disobedience when we sincerely ask for it. Our sins are no different then anyone else’s we can receive God’s abundant forgiveness if we just ask. So never shy away from what God has called you to do He loves no matter what you have done.
