Suzie, Thank you for posting this!  I was reading my copy on the busride home and was thinking how nice it would be to have it online.

I look forward to these beautiful services every year. You're right - the experience is beyond words. We read the verses of the prayer responsively. Each person reads in their own language. Tonight we had verses in Armenian, English and Russian. One family of faith coming together.

From the I Confess With Faith booklet, "St.Nerses Shnorhali composed this very beautiful prayer for us, Armenians, during 1160 ca. The prayer is divided on the 24 hours."

Yes, indeed they are very beautiful prayers, but they were not written just for us, Armenians, but for all followers of Christ.  In fact I found these prayers posted on a non-Armenian website.  Those who observe Lent also use these prayers.

Aside from Husgoom service, I also prefer to say them before I close my eyes for the night.
