Today, I'm praying for God's grace on bullies. Kids who pick on other kids because they are different who were just looking for someone to play with and something to do. Kids who pick on other kids because their parents think it's okay. Kids who pick on kids with disabilities. Kids who pick on other kids because they think it's cool. Kids who pick on other kids because of their own insecurities. Kids who pick on other kids because they are bullied at home. Kids who pick on other kids because they can.
Prayers for those with strep throat, bronchitis, the flu, allergies, and other pesky ailments that take them down and out of the mix for a few days or week. Prayers for those who haven't seen good health in quite some time. Prayers for those who wish all they had was the flu but are facing life-threatening illnesses. Prayers who are fighting with all their strength to live another day.
Prayers for our church, O Lord. Prayers for our leaders, our members, our visitors, our youth, our senior adults, our children. Prayers for those who miss the beauty of God's grace and need to be reminded that it is there. Prayers for solutions and change, not just complaints about what's not working. Prayers that Your will be done. Prayers for forgiveness.
Lord, you are great and wonderful. Thank you for good health, thank you for our children, thank you for those who love us, thank you for the sunshine and warmth. Thank you for food on the table and a family to share it with. Thank you for your Son, Jesus Christ.
Lord, hear our prayers. |
