| Why The Delete Button Is A Blessing |
|

I woke this morning. We fed the animals, and had coffee. I checked my in-box. My inbox had around 10 new pieces of electronic mail. My bulk mail box... 129! Now, I want to let you know that the only reason that I do not permanently disable the bulk mail monster is because every once in a while something that I have to have, like a bill I receive online slips through, and ends up being delivered to the bulk mail monster!
Have you ever really read the titles to any of the garbage that forces itself into this box? Over 40 love, find love tonight, finance a car in less than a minute, the horrid ones I will not even mention, find your true mate, find your true christian mate, someone has a crush on you...find out now, the debt eliminator??? etc., etc., etc. At times I would like to write these people and tell them what for...but then I'd have to look at their filthy offerings, which I simply refuse to do. I also realize they need salvation, too.
I actually think about the people that are lonely, and do not resist. It hurts me to think that hurting, deceived people buy into all of this stuff. I pray that they will realize that there is a Saviour that wishes to fill their empty hearts. He wishes to heal their lonliness and fill them with his mercy.
This is just a thought that I had today.
Hope you don't mind if I share this verse:
4:4 Rejoice in the Lord alway: [and] again I say, Rejoice. 4:5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord [is] at hand. 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things [are] honest, whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things [are] pure, whatsoever things [are] lovely, whatsoever things [are] of good report; if [there be] any virtue, and if [there be] any praise, think on these things.
Love you all, in The Lord!

Yes Cathy, it is sad that some people actually respond to spam looking for fulfillment of the promise. When people don't believe in Christ, it seems they will believe in anything... |

| yeah, I get a ton of those... I used to read them, but then I realized they were just trash. I never thought of the bulk mail generators as in need of a savior, I always thought of them as prodigals.... but it definitely wakes me up to what really matters.... right on sharing Cathy. In the Lord, Rebekah |
