| Where is God? |

Have you ever questioned the presence of God? Has something happened to you that brings you to your knees and you ask, Where are you Lord?
I used to question how God could be present in the most terrible places. One day my question was answered. I was on patrol in an area that was just been host to a armed battle between my unit and a local militant group. The carnage could be seen everywhere. Underneath some rumble I found a man near death as bent over to render assistance to him the cross I wear around my neck fell out into view. The man asked if I was a Christian. Under the circumstances I was rather shocked by the question. I answered yes I am even though I was just at the beginning of my journey with the Lord. The man asked me to help him have Jesus save him. I didn’t know what to do I was like a deer caught in the headlights. Just then the Holy Spirit placed the answer on my heart. I asked the man if he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Saviour, and if he was sorry for his sins. He choked a reply of yes. Soon after the man died.
Some of you may ask , why would this help me follow Jesus? The answer is so clear to me. In all likelihood this man and I at one point were trying to hurt each other. In the end the power of Jesus brought us together and made us family. Because of Jesus I will see this man in the Kingdom of Heaven. I will never again question the presence of God because I know that no matter how ugly the place God is with me because He lives in me. Do not be afraid. God inhabits you and goes with you wherever you are!
From Patrick a servant of God chosen to be an apostle of Jesus Christ. +
4:12 No man has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us.
