| http://www.elections.state.md.us/ You may find the Maryland State Board of Elections a useful site for both the primary and the general elections. You will find helpful information here such as changing your party affiliation, absentee ballots and details regarding getting involved in the campaign process. There is a link that helps you to identify your polling place. This will be particularly useful to those of you who will accept my challenge of taking a person (young or older) to the polls today. If they are unsure of their polling place just enter the parties name, address information, and date of birth to get the location. On the lower right hand side of the page you will find the link: “What can you tell me about candidate…” Clicking this link takes you to a new page which gives details about the candidates from 1983 to the present. Look at the blue strip on the left of the screen and select election year 2008 to get data on the current primary. Scrolling down you can view the 2008 Presidential Primary State Candidates list. This PDF does not give you information regarding the candidate’s issues. It does give a listing of the candidates and some of (but not many) their web sites. You must Google your candidate to find their websites. Once you locate the website the issues are usually found in a tab along the top or side of the page. Vote for the candidate of your choice! This is the year of transformation and you are seeing the possibilities right here in the campaign. …With God all things are possible. Mathew 19:26b |
