Time for a breath of fresh air

It seems like this year has been nothing for me but treading water.  I kind of feel like Peter did when he stepped out of the boat.  The waves of life were crashing all around me and I took my eyes off of Christ and the ultimate goal.  But sometime last week I got an "attitude adjustment" and my outlook on life has improved.  Part of the reason is that we've had almost a week now with no major crisis....another part is that I honestly believe that God does have good things in store for me and my family.  The problems of life will continue to come (just not all at once please Lord! :) )  but that I need to keep focusing on being thankful and praising God in the midst of my trials.  I have to put off the flesh which gets weary and be renewed in my spirit and mind knowing that God has a plan for me. 

Anyway.  I just wanted to put some thoughts out there.  I hope that everyone has a blessed day today.

its great to be open and honest with ourselves in regards to our inadequicies. Lots of times because we want people to think we're super spiritual we never let on that we are struggling in our walk. The truth is we don't see eye to eye with God ever, and we all always need an attitude and altitude adjustment, meaning we think to highly of ourselves than we ought and need to surrender and say I need you Lord, and I'm not on your level.
