| Homer Simpson, Ned Flanders and The Bible |

I had to laugh after viewing several cartoon episodes of "The Simpson's". The view that Homer Simpson has towards Ned Flanders is the same view that our communities at large have towards true Christians. In the cartoon as a general rule Flanders is passed off as a prayer warrior who seldom had bad things happens to his family while the family next door (the Simpson's) are constantly in a state of turmoil. Sounds familiar doesn't it.
Houses that do not have God truly do have more turmoil than houses who's focus is on God . That is not to say that trouble will not come to a Christian home, to say that would be a lie but, when trouble does come the Christian man or woman knows how to handle it. They handle it by already having in place a deep spiritual relationship with our Lord and knowing were to find the solution to all of Life's problems. The answers are all in the bible.
The word bible can also be used as an acronym for its definition. B.I.B.L.E. = basic instructions before leaving earth.
Today just about everything has an owners manual. Brothers and Sisters the bible is our owners manual, it is the owners manual to life. Think about it, proper operating instructions are in there. What can happen with improper operation is in there. What the result of proper operation will be and what the result for improper operation will be. There is no secrets or mysteries when it comes to this. There are symbols, sayings and other things in prophecy that are sometimes difficult to interpret, but in every case that i can think of, the one thing is blatantly clear in all prophecies, if the people were going to suffer punishment for disobedience they knew what the punishment was going to be. I may be wrong, try to prove me wrong open up your bibles today and see. I can take the criticism, can your life take another day without God's divine guidance and blessing in it? Mine can't.
1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
