SHS is my term for a "Scripture Hitting Streak". SHS is the term I use when I open or come across a scripture verse right before or after a totally related event occurs. The best way to explain this is with an example. (Also see my other posts) This morning I was studying some verses related to food in the bible. I came across John 6:9 (5 loaves of barley and two fishes). 6:9 There is a lad here, who hath five barley loaves, and two fishes: but what are these among so many? Right after I finished my time with God, I put Turning Point on the radio. Guess what Dr. Jeremiah was preaching about? John 6:9. I am convinced that this is a way that God communicates to those who believe in Him. My prayer is that He continues to speak to us this way and that we respond in service and worship. |
