On Saturday I got a cockatiel.  I named her Coconut.  She was the sweetest bird!!  I noticed the other day that her *ahem* droppings were not normal.  I thought maybe it was that she was in shock from the move from her "breeder", so I thought I would wait it out.  Yesterday, I noticed that her bottom was black from dropping residue (sorry if this is gross).  I called my aunt who has had many cockatiels over the years.  She suggested I take Coconut to the avian vet. 

So last night, I decided I would take her to the vet in the morning.  Meanwhile, as I went to bed, I laid there worried about her.  I prayed that God would take this out of my hands, because He is in control.  I thanked Him for giving me Coconut and prayed that if it be His will, she won't die.  I immediately felt a peace come over me and I was able to have a good night sleep.  

This morning, I woke up because I heard a little voice in my head telling me that Coconut was gone.  I laid in bed for a little bit.  Then my husband came in and told me that she was gone.  After crying for a bit, I praised God for allowing me to have such a sweet animal in my life, even for a short time.  

God gave us the animals to take care of...to love.   I thank Him for all the animals that have come and gone into my life.
