That is a hard call Lara. These people have been so oppressed for so long. Additionally, they have been forced into relationships with others that make little sense. Typically, I stand with William Wallace on the idea of freedom. It is always worth what it takes for a people to be free. The history in Serbia has been a tough one to understand, so in this case, the best we can do is watch.

Personally, I think God is impressing on a lot of hearts that it is time for oppression to stop around the world. The oppressors are not going to like it. Watch and see.

Every time I want to stand up and cheer for one of these "emancipations" I try to picture the UN statement recognizing the Confederation of American States as a new government.  Granted the UN wasn't around 150 years ago; still. . . . .   But what about the colonial uprising that was 4 score and 7 years earlier?  How would we have fared in the current world arena?

Gene, I think you know the answer to your question, but it is an interesting thought. I think we would have remained a part of the British empire for a long time...

Quite so, mate!
It's still funny to imagine the UN in a position to address these things over the past 200 years or so.

Looks like the EU and the US are supporting call for independence while Russia and China are not. Interesting how that works, isn't it?
