Nailing 'it' to the Cross - this is something I am tasking myself with for my 31st year. I don't care what 'it' is - nothing has power or sway over me now that I am in Christ. I found this collection of verses (so don't think I was wise enough to find them all myself - lol) that speaks to my heart on how we all need to nail our problems and sins and worries to the cross - Jesus died for us, for me, and nothing else can overshadow that! 2:13 And you, being dead through your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, you, `I say', did he make alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses; 2:14 having blotted out the bond written in ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us: and he hath taken it out that way, nailing it to the cross; 2:14 For he is our peace, who made both one, and brake down the middle wall of partition, 2:15 having abolished in the flesh the enmity, `even' the law of commandments `contained' in ordinances; that he might create in himself of the two one new man, `so' making peace; 2:8 and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, becoming obedient `even' unto death, yea, the death of the cross. 2:9 Wherefore also God highly exalted him, and gave unto him the name which is above every name; 2:10 that in the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of `things' in heaven and `things' on earth and `things' under the earth, 2:11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. 6:6 knowing this, that our old man was crucified with `him', that the body of sin might be done away, that so we should no longer be in bondage to sin; 6:7 for he that hath died is justified from sin. 6:8 But if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him; 6:14 But far be it from me to glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world hath been crucified unto me, and I unto the world. 5:24 And they that are of Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with the passions and the lusts thereof.
2:20 I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I that live, but Christ living in me: and that `life' which I now live in the flesh I live in faith, `the faith' which is in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself up for me. |
